I get around 4-7MB download speed in Ampang where I stay. Signal strength is around 3-5 bars. Anyone knows if we can upgrade the modem to 3rd party or anything we can do to increase the transmission rate/power?

QUOTE(jeremy05 @ Dec 10 2010, 05:21 PM) i think going to increase the transmit power seem impossible thing for now? alternative way is increase your rssi signal via attach external antenna. I'm using the USB dongle and I'm not sure if there are any custom software/firmware that could change those information. I'm new to wireless broadband (always with Streamyx but now totally sick of it) so I was thinking if it's possible to get 3rd party modems? I can't believe that by using this wireless 4G, I get better latency in my COD Black Ops compared to Streamyx which is WIRED.See how much our Streamyx fails but still not doing anything about it! |
