QUOTE(uexpress @ Nov 16 2010, 07:14 PM) Speed are good.... tested today and play around... Same like P1 when they first started their services...using speedtest i can get around DL +- 7Mb/s, UL +- 5Mb/s (Cyberjaya server). speedtest i can get around DL +- 4Mb/s, UL +- 3Mb/s (London server) They use IP range starting from 124, ping around 6ms Well i can't judge anything right now... let see till it launch...no package been leak at the moment...hehe PS** i didnt get the speedtest.net screen because is today testing at LOT10.... everything was fine until more user subscribing to their broadband... Line become congested... and.... on that time... wallah! everything become horrible... I'm really hoping that this YTL "4G" will not become like that.... Gosh... Damned expensive!
I only paid about RM68 per month for my 3GB Maxis Broadband... For the time being, better I stick with my Maxis Broadband as my mobile internet..... Hopefully they will revise it.... totally expensive for data @ internet... But for SMS and call rate seems reasonable... |

QUOTE(TexasRanger @ Sep 14 2011, 10:17 AM) My family uses about 10GB per week. Is the best plan to simply keep topping up using VP150? Is there a cheaper option for large-bandwidth users? 10GB per week! Forget Wireless, go for wired.... Unless you're blessed with the wealthy family, and that's not a matter... RM150 = same as UNIFI VIP5... or Streamyx 4Mbps... Since you're sharing the line with all of your family, and for home use, better you go for fixed line broadband... QUOTE(cherroy @ Sep 14 2011, 09:29 PM) I don't know why lot of people single out YES is expensive. Can i conclude your opinion with this statement..Yes, 3.5GB for RM68 D - 3GB for Rm58/68 M - 3GB for RM68 C - 3GB for Rm68 All wireless BB pricing is roughly the same. If Yes is expensive, so does the rest. While if compared Yes with Streamyx. Streamyx highly is definitely cheaper if one constantly hog the line one. But with streamyx, it is impossible to have more than 4Mbps. To have 4Mbps, it cost Rm140, which is near to 10GB of YES valuepack. But YES can have higher speed than 4Mbps streamyx. and have mobility. Streamyx, if you need it at 2 place, you need 2 subscription. So it is very difficult to say which one is definitely better than the others. It depends one pattern of usage, depends which is suit to. 'premium things will come at the premium prices' |
