Question: Is the bandwidth used by YES life during phone calls counted towards the quota consumption, when on a YES connection? I'm using YES Huddle...

QUOTE(dinwaja @ Nov 3 2011, 07:39 PM) That's for the call, and I know that. But the call itself uses bandwidth....hence the question, since YES phone is VOIP, no? Let me rephrase my question: If I am on YES connection, and I make a call, will the data counter move, on top of being charged 9 sen a minute? |

QUOTE(dinwaja @ Nov 4 2011, 12:27 PM) back when i was their staff...the answer is this... Now that answers my question. Thanks muchly. "the system will automatically recognized ur call as VOIP call...the system will charge u according to minutes...so ur data will not move.let say u subscribe for VP150, the system will deduct ur minutes from ur free calls...ur data will not be touch." so if u r on PAYU...u'll see ur credits or rebates deducted. i do understand ur earlier question. Added on November 4, 2011, 12:28 pmdun forget...YES charge u 9sen for 3MB @ 1 minutes call @ 1 SMS.... |

I think the YES Life VOIP calls count towards the bandwidth quota when you're on YES connection, on top of the free minutes / 9 sen per minute charge. I made a seven minute call and within that period 20MB was gone. Nothing else was downloading on my tab, nor was any other device connected to my Huddle.
Darn it. This post has been edited by 9M-MAS: Nov 7 2011, 11:01 AM |

Guys
The Huddle's WiFi range - when set to shortest 8dBM - my galaxy tab keeps showing signal only 2/3rd the strength even when there is direct line of sight (less than a meter away). It goes full only when I put the huddle next to the tab. If I turn my back i.e. I put the huddle behind me - WiFi signal strength falls and fluctuates between 1 and 2 - even at less than a meter away - is this normal? I've tried changing the strength in the setup to both medium 11dBm and long 14dBm, with no discernible difference. This post has been edited by 9M-MAS: Nov 8 2011, 12:13 AM |
