I wonder if the credit will be used up if you are browsing the Yes website (assuming you can actually browse it wink.gif ) ?

BTW their coverage seems rather spotty, can't even use their phone as your primary cellphone, still have to carry another 2G/3G phone around, then even if you get the Zoom device for home usage but you can hardly use it meaningfully without getting hit with charges like a tsunami.... so still have to go back to DSL or other telcos.

Want to use as a backup internet you have to buy their device, pay for activation, have to use min RM 30 a month... when you can buy a 3G dongle instead and use it with any telco of your choice, want to change telcos just get another sim card which costs less than RM 10?

So what's the point of using Yes?

In short, YES 4G is for light internet users, or heavy users with a lot of money. It is not for budget users, small companies, and heavy users in general.

101 % agreed !!!

I am also getting it for my backup internet, since i will have my own prefered number for RM0 charge, the device is cheap, RM99
going to check whether the yes.id support in PC, so that i could make calls on PC, or any device like android, iphone, since it make calls over their VOIP services.

just like, u use maxis, u install YES software in your iphone, then u have 018 number via ur 012 HSDPA, isn't it good? instead of using the WIMAX service?
then u can use ur USB-YES-WIMAX dongle to online when u are in the "coverage" area.

see Yes T n C:

2. Minimum Usage Requirement (“MUR”)
(a) You are obliged to maintain the monthly MUR, which will be ascertained at the end of the applicable Billing Cycle from Your total usage of the Services. (b) The MUR is specified at www.yes.my/en/say-yes/plan © If your actual usage is less than the monthly MUR, then we may first deduct from any rebate such difference and if such rebate is insufficient then to deduct from Your credit balance. (d) Only when Your account is either suspended or terminated, will Your liability for the monthly MUR cease.
