nothing is 100% safe. i did a lot of online purchases and it will be the trend in the future, i'm sure. Just need to practice caution and check your CC transactions online from time to time.

I thought you've already signed up with CPP card protection? Use it to your advantage, it covers fraud transactions, right?
*
Yes, i am using the CPP services, good tat you remind me abt the fraud transation:thumbs:

now i dare to auto reload my YES and its expiring on 17/11 too biggrin.gif

What is the differences between zoom router and streamyx/unifi router ? as my installer told me that this is the first time he use zoom with dyndns service, those streamyx /unify router do not have such problem. The IP address will be updated automatically by dyndns using streamyx/unify router, but after using zoom router dyndns did not update the IP address accordingly.

I am using zoom router to monitor my Kampung house. I have applied streamyx more than 2 years but this bolehland  's Telekom keep on telling me no port for more than 2 years. Recently i found YES is available in my kampung in Kuantan and i got full bar all the time. However, after a week, i am not able to view the cctv anymore and the IP address did not updated automatically. Yesterday, went back and try to rectify the problem together with the installer but not successful, anyone can advise me on what i need to set in zoom or dynnds ?

yes, i too got my self a used CCTV set tat i wan to setup hooking my Zoom to the DVR

I have asked this question to different CS twice at Lot10, another at Sentral.
The answer is no.
the VP topup gives you VP Balance, ie, the Data, Voice and SMS, the non-VP top up gives you Account credit Balance.
Come the expiry date the volume will be zerolised.
I have not tried this as I do not want to loss my VP Balance.

another point to take note, the minimum monthly commitement is RM30, if this month you only topup RM10, at the end of 30 days if you still hve not topupp to RM30 in total or topup with VP, in this case additional of RM20, they will charge (RM30-your account ballance) to your account.
I have tried this to my another account, my balance I top up RM10, and at the end of 30days I have RM5.16 left, instead of charge me additional RM20 to make it to minimum RM30 committement, they charged RM24.84 to my account.
(RM30-RM5.16)
This one sucking blood lah bloody YTL.

so dont try this, make sure you topup at least RM30 in one month.
but you if you topupp using VP your account volume , the account balance will remians.

on the otherway, if you still have credit, and you top up via VP which give you the volume, the credit remains.
this one i have tried.

thanks for the reply

i now hav 4 VP, all data/calls/sms untouched expiring 18/11/2011, today, all different ID's

wat should i do?

sell out at rm20 each ?

and if the buyer topup another rm68 will he get to use the current quota tat is expiring tonite at 11.59pm + the next mths new quota?

thanks

Yes if topup with VP either VP68 or VP150, as mentioed I have tried this.
my first month balance which top up with VP68 has a Data Blance of 2.6G, Voice=0 min, SMS=149.
After I top up with another VP68 the new balance was, Data Balance = 6.1G, Voice=150 min, SMS=299.

Another point to take note, voice call utilises your VP voice Balance will not be taxed, whereas voice call utilises the credit balance will be taxed with 6% on the total voice amount.

meaning, its roll over - able

last call, unuse VP@rm68 expiring tonite going for rm20

all u hav to do is just buy another VP from YES site at rm68 via Cc or MB2U to rollover my VP and u can use 2 times VP rm68, meaning data quota of 3.5GB X2 150mins calls X2 and 150SMS X2

PM me to deal

Yes, they will deduct RM30 even you are not using a single cent.

Extra Rm5 will be deducted.

Every month, at least Rm30 will be gone/used/spent.
*
meaning its better to use (PAYU ) till rm30 is deducted rather than let YES deduct rm30 by calendar month end or till the 30 days is up?

if i only used (PAYU) only say rm25, YES will still deduct rm30, so its rm25+rm30 lenyap from my account for tat 30days period?

another question, if i ady hav a YES ID, which package to buy to make use of the VP68 or rather to own a Huddle at the same time?

1) the rm1199 free Huddle ,rm800 credit + rm400 rebates
http://www.yes.my/v2/say-yes/huddle-4g-mobile-hotspot.do

2) HSBC rm460 Huddle promo
http://www.hsbc.com.my/1/2/personal-bankin...et-device-promo

3) Turbo kit
http://www.yes.my/v2/say-yes/promo/blaze.do

thanks

No, only Rm30 gone, they will charge extra Rm5, not Rm25+Rm30.
It will be Rm25+RM5.

The downside of the package is that rebate cannot be used to buy VP.
*
if we based the price of the Huddle to be rm300( for our calculation),

Package 1) means the the rm400 rebates = rm100 [(rm1200-rm800(credit)-rm300(huddle)=rm100(rebates)]
and rebates can be use to make calls and data on the basis of rm30/GB(data) once we finish the VP data within the 30 days period rite? and this also tied our rm1200 till it is being used up, maybe in abt a year ( lets say we buy a VP68/mth)

Package 2) means the Huddle = rm300 and the Topcard of rm150 +rm9 = rm459

Package 3) nothing much to mention cause the above 2 is much better, esp package2 as it wont tie you to a longer period and lower investment too

something to remember, Package1 can be purchase via a rm50x24 mths easy pymt via HSBC CC (which i hav)

i went for package 1 since i foresee i'll be with Yes 4G for at least a year. Long term wise, i'd recommend you to get the same package too. wink.gif
*
yes, i hav tat on my mind too and take advantage of the interest free rm50x24 too

btw, the rm400 rebates can use for data @ rm30/1GB if my VP expires inside the 30 days period rite?

so i can use back my existing ID too?

thanks

yup, the rebates can be used that way. And yes, you can use back your existing ID. Just need to let the staff know when you're signing up the package.

One thing to note about renewing VP when you've used up your quota before the expiry date, make sure you reconnect the Yes 4G connection to get a new IP address after you've renewed the VP. If not, your credits/rebates will be deducted instead of the quota in the new VP. After getting a new IP address, it should be back to normal. Well, at least that was based on my recent experience.

Yes Support wasn't helpful as I only got their response weeks after I've solved the problem myself.  vmad.gif

QUOTE(ERN2 @ Nov 24 2011, 06:50 PM)
please note that the RM30 is for 1 month period, YES will check you topup amount at the end of the month.
The amount that will be debited to your account is (30 - x), where x = the amount you have topup within the 30days period. if x more than RM30 then nothing will hapen.

for instance
you bought your GO package on 01/10/2011, the starter pack can last you for 2 months ie until 30/11/2011.
this is exceptional case as starter pack.

the day 1 start from 1/12/2011 to end of 31/12/2011,

if you did not topup any amount and assuming you have 0 balance left, then on 01/01/2012 you will see -RM30 in your account balance.
if your balance before end of the month is RM12, then you will see -RM18 (30-12) in your account.

if you have just topup RM10 during 01/12 to 31/12/2011,
if your account is 0 balance then YES will minus RM20 from your account.
if you have RM12 in your account before the end of the month, you will see -RM8 in your account  (RM30-10-12=8)

If you have top up RM40 to your account, then YES will not do anything. the next day 1 will be from 01/01/2012.

I believe I have covered all the conditions.
(1) not topup at all with the month,
1.1 with 0 balance
1.2 with balance

(2) partial topup within the month
2.1 with zero balance
2.2 with balance

(3) excess topup, or VP68 or VP150

Hope this help and not making you more confuse. rclxub.gif
*
good explanation

notworthy.gif

so if i buy(renew) a VP via CC or MB2U direct debit on the last day of the VP, i am safe from any deduction fr YES rite?

and my existing balance will be roll-over and if i buy/renew on the next day my balances will be forfeited?

However after i unplug the Lan cable, my pc cannot connect via WiFi, reason being tat the passkey is incorrect but when i used my fon to connect via Zoom it worked.
