Anyone know which in-camera setting changes the black level in lightroom?

tanjq, i dont really understand your question.

As in the effect of pulling the 'blacks' in lightroom (I think by pulling the curve can achieve that also).
Any setting in camera can achieve that?

by pulling the blacks, do you mean by making the blacks lighter? the way i could think of is to slightly over exp the scene. or you could use a high DRO setting.

err, the opposite of it, make the blacks darker, like more contrasy look. but i've tried increasing contrast in camera, it doesn't seem to be the effect i want.

then why not under exp the shot? then using PP to make the lighter greys whiter.

if you prefer in-cam only, turn off DRO completely. u can try playing around with 'Zone', putting it at +1 or +2

tanjq87: None of them LOL. The black level is not known to Lightroom! Of course, you could change the Zone in Creative Settings to adjust black levels in JPEG. Contrast also affects black levels.

lwliam: Black levels at 0 means the black is uncompressed and unclipped - if you increase black levels, you make the shadows closer to #00000 black. Nikon does this to make JPGs look less noisy.

Yea, have been trying it whole day, I think need a combination of zone, contrast and exposure to get it 'closer' to what I want (by pulling the blacks in raw editor).
