portability and handling wise for both stills and video, a proper SLR shape would probably still trump over a handycam shape. so the VG10 is very video specific rather than still images.. stills are just like icing on the cake

perhaps he sent it in not only for cleaning? cleaning just the extra stuff, since paid, might as well squeeze most out of them

edward, its partly because you had an uneditted one to compare with, to those who 1st saw the image, i dont think it would be easily recognized, as that part is merely a nick on a penny. But the cloning could be done better, i agree.

but NX10's at ISO 3200 and above is practically useless... the NEX can still hold up to the colors and edges pretty well..
