well, it all boils down to market influence...

say, Nokia releases a phone which has the same specs as another phone released by another phone company, Azleron (example).
Azleron only started manufacturing phones in the last 5 years and are known to produced decent quality phones.
Nokia, with an upperhand in market influence will generate more profit from more buyers.

i am in singapore now..singapore is selling E mount 18200 for SGD1200+ and the A-mount to E mount converter is SGD280+, so you will roughly know how much to convert..

thats RRP or street price???

thanks all especially albert for giving advices behind the scene on FF..
a850 totally gave me a whole new experience on my FF lenses..
And the iso performance really help for indoor shooting w/o resorting to flash
this is a good camera for me to learn how to meter & set exposure when the LV is no longer there (the intelligent preview somewhat helpful)

sony brand is not even 10 years old..while C & N i think more than 20 yrs d..no matter how good sony is..they still need time to capture the market..

for me i am quite lucky as i entered during the time where there are more choices for lenses and accessories for Sony..

those who entered during the a100 era must be really frustrated with the lack of choice..hence many jumped ship from what i heard (haven't dig out the old threads yet )
