DA2 trailer is prolly arcane warrior / blood mage.

weapon+armor, some hex thing on the baddie's head, fire blast thing, then blood magic with the dragon hands move.

If your CPU is unlocked, sure.

1kW PSU for these measly specs? Overkill seems to be your middle name.

Got my signature edition in the mail yesterday!

Played until level 8.
already starting to get on my nerves how I have so many items but no one can use. And even with all the items limited to Hawke, only 1 set can use (because I'm a mage)

All the Strength and Dexterity items rotting in my inventory. alamak....

And alot of stuttering with DX11.

I also dislike how the codex has lost its coolness. There used to be a nice splash of black and red in the middle of the screen whenever u found a codex. That is now gone. The codex is now just ARIAL text in a UI border.

But I have to say that the bonus items from Signature Edition are imba cool. Very useful to get from early part of the game. Combat looks nicer than before, but I still miss the slower paced, tactical feel of DAO.

Sidequests have been quite okay
Kirkwall looks amazing.

Have to play more to see if the storyline is epic enough, but so far still fairly enjoyable. about a 7/10. (compared to DAO's 9/10)

I find DA2 quite boring

Hey guys.... Is the high-res texture pack worth it for me to invest in a DX11 card??? I have a ATI4890 now...

Thinking of getting a 6950 or 6970....

To be fair, that's not too different from Mass Effect. There's got to be some drawback to developing a game in 1 and a half years.

Which does make the middle bit of the story very inconsistent and weak compared to the beginning or the twists.

Personally the quests in DA2 is not that memorable compared to DA:O

You are running DX9 or DX11? Very High? And everything on?

Their Lead Designer for Dragon Age series left due to the direction DA2 is heading

DA2 is a good game to some.. but a lot of things were dumb downed, or streamlined if u wanna call it to a certain level that origins was not..
Was quite dissapointing for me.. sigh.. will try to replay as a mage in DA2 in a few days.. need to take a break

If people say it's not as good as ME2 != they hate it. Look DA2 is not their best game. Without a doubt. And I'm not really expecting anything constructive from you because you haven't played the game. But I'd much prefer if this thread focused on DA2. And not this game SUCCKS! or is CRAP! that's very constructive(not).

Maybe I should just continue working on my review than to expect constructive discussions in a forum.

yes I agree. The camera is atrocious. But stop playing it like DAO. Not going to elaborate much but the camera is a major obstacle for you if you want to play it like DAO.

1) it doesn't zoom out like DAO
2) You have to manually move the camera around many times. If you character is up against a wall it gets f'ed up
3) They want you to play in third person perspective and run around the battlefield. The camera is just not made for top down tactical battles.

As a fan of Black Isle / Bioware RPG, I think this DA2 is one step forward and two steps back. As a fan, anyone will agree that I'm biased against DA2. When I played the demo, I was awed. After playing the game, I was disappointed.

DAO had most formulas right, although it can't compete with Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment or even Neverwinter Nights. DA2 however, did not inherit any of those great games. It's a lovechild of ME and DAO, but it inherited everything bad about them. For once, I felt I do not want to replay a game from Bioware.

I just hope other RPGs coming this year would be better.

Just reached level10.
Some of the battles now really require tactics instead of just spamming AoE and attacks. Finally, a challenge.

The 3 parts of the set only obtainable before entering deep roads. Once you are in no way to complete them anymore if you havent done it. Anyway this set doesnt look attractive as well. Can easily find replacement in black emporium. As for forbidden knowledge, you need to destroy all 5 evil tome in order to complete. When you destroy all 5 evil tome, the quest will be update for the location of another tome, which is the final 1.  Only this last book you can read it to gain +2 stats points and wont cause the quest to be stuck there forever. And you will face a tough boss there as well.
