QUOTE(Gormaz @ Aug 18 2010, 02:55 PM) Narrator definitely Flemeth in my opinion yar. Yes the devs themselves have said he is not the son of....... Also the timeline of the game means that the baby would have to grow up alarmingly fast since this is around the same time of the first game, just a different place in the world.I can't really get excited by the trailer though. Random "bad guy with stupidly huge claymore and spiky hair" hero, check Half assed hard rock as music, check Demon-looking enemy with horns, check (actually people are saying it's the new look of Qunaries...) "When I get angry, my eyes get red!", check etc. It's an ok trailer for a teenager audience, with the rock and all, but really does not make me excited about the game itself, or remind me of the DAO universe Half reminded me about Witcher intro though, not as cool and well done though. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(hydrame @ Oct 27 2010, 05:15 PM) Bought the Ultimate Edition yesterday for RM175. Was wondering if anyone who has bought the Ultimate Edition tell me how to register the game. There is no Ultimate Edition listed under the "register game" menu. I think you just have to register it as dragon age origins and download the DLC's one by one. Erm register the DLC's i mean since I think the content should be in the disk. This post has been edited by frags: Oct 27 2010, 05:19 PM |

QUOTE(Nosferatu @ Feb 10 2011, 01:40 PM) remember we were guessing if that polearm/spear is gonna be actually ingame? It appears to be so but that is no warrior's weapon. Its a magey thing. I died a little inside. Why!? On the other hand, check out that sweet sweet shield slam. Sword and board for me again |

Okay there is one addition that i think is good though in this game..and so far this is the only other good point(other than the story of course) that i have seen.
There are character exclusive skills that you can pick skills from if you're friends or rivals with them. That's smart...at least a motivation to build relationship...other than...sleeping with them. |

QUOTE(H@H@ @ Mar 9 2011, 01:25 AM) Wasn't there an option in the first game where you got abilities with NPCs based on how well your relationship with them was? In DAO they only got one skill when they got inspired. Here there is an entire skill tree based on how they felt about you.Anyway, Alpha Protocol did it first (Depending on whether they hated or liked you, you got a perk with them... Meaning, there was no point being neutral with anybody... Either be their knight in shining armour, or a downright bastard to them) So far though... Pretty fun. Thought the game would be a wee bit easy in Normal mode based on the demo and started out on Hard... Very VERY painful. Especially since the game kinda balances out how the enemies are weak by constantly spamming them on you. Not nearly impossible in Hard, but quite a bit of work since I don't have more than one mage in the party yet and most of the starter skills are simply shit. A lot of Mass Effect influences around like companion homes and not being able to speak to NPCs while on missions. Not really an issue, but it's there. Thank God they got the load times really short though since there's a lot of traveling between locations. That single gripe about ME2 almost put me off playing my second playthrough. Enjoying it so far though as a rogue, but the shortage of talent trees that rely on Cunning (Unlike DAO that had that imba ability that used Cunning instead of Dex for damage or something) kinda make it a bit difficult to be an "effective" rogue. That being said, the rogue trees do look fun compared to the others. I might reroll a warrior just in case. GuyHawke's voice is sitting quite well with me so far. Better than FemHawke's during the demo. |

QUOTE(H@H@ @ Mar 9 2011, 05:56 PM) Nah, not really new here... It's the same "Let the player taste being a the top before taking everything away from him" methodology that has been used in quite a few games before (Such as Assassin's Creed and Prototype). Wow really? Didn't know that.I was however, quite impressed that they actually mold your family members based on your skin tone. It wasn't just a simple recolouring, but completely different faces. I find Isabella a bit difficult to use. She dies too often. And with the nerfed/gimped camera, it's hard to micro manage a melee rogue like herself. |

QUOTE(Archaven @ Mar 9 2011, 07:34 PM) i always have trust in bioware but seems every post in bioware forum even their fans are giving strongly negative reviews and it's just not simply trolling and bad-mocking. they provide very valid and fair reviews of the game. Well, the problem with DA2 is DAO. If you compare it with the first game and expected it to be like that. It isn't. I think they made changes to gameplay to...how shall I put it...make it feel more like KOTOR. Would you say KOTOR was a bad game for not having a top down camera?i won't just buy blindly if the game is really bad. i tried the demo and im alittle disappointed due to the no tactical view, friendly fire and honestly the graphics is quite dated. i'm feeling a little happy that i didn't preorder earlier.. i already have plan to go and hunt for the signature edition but now i think i probably won't. i'll wait for a patch and what the developers have to say and prorbably read more reviews. It's just not the same type of combat like DAO or Baldur's Gate. There is still tactics, but it isn't the same type of strategy game light Baldur's gate type of tactics. Think KOTOR and then you'll know what DA2 is. I will have my say on this soon. |

QUOTE(TAGreptiles @ Mar 9 2011, 08:43 PM) TSB is in SS2. 2 doors down from A&W. You have to download it from the social siteWell. The gameplay felt a little wierd at first because i was still playing DAO yesterday. The only thing i hate is the camera angle. Sometimes its just plain crap. Other than that its all good. Added on March 9, 2011, 9:18 pmAnyone has difficulties finding their DLC? I entered the promo code but i can't find it in game anywhere. its not under the DLC or the extras tab. |

QUOTE(FrostLance @ Mar 12 2011, 06:59 PM) To be fair, that's not too different from Mass Effect. There's got to be some drawback to developing a game in 1 and a half years.Added on March 12, 2011, 7:30 pm QUOTE(Currylaksa @ Mar 12 2011, 07:22 PM) When you say "epic-ness" you just want some typical "unite the nation and slay huge demon" story, or "unite the galaxies and slay evil reapers". That's kinda overdone now... Which does make the middle bit of the story very inconsistent and weak compared to the beginning or the twists.I didn't like the story at first, but in time I really appreciate how pieces of your actions comes along to form the entire ending, how an innocent gold dig changed the face of the world, how a murder left slide creates a personal tragedy in the end. In other RPGs, you can really forget about the quests you did on the way to your next chapter. Here, everything comes back to a head. You really feel personally responsible for the conclusion of the story, very bittersweet albeit anti-climatic. This post has been edited by frags: Mar 12 2011, 07:30 PM |

Really? Two Worlds 2? Come on.. You guys are over exaggerating. What's this amazon ratings? DA2 is a flawed game. In many ways a step back. BUT they tried something new. It may not be what I would like but it's a good game on its own merits. Don't believe the extremely positive reviews and and the extremely negative reviews. They are full of hyperbole.
