Some of the textures are so bad (low res) in the game like the tent, floor, etc. The expression and body gestures are kinda aesthetic. Assassin's Creed 2 animations are great. It's so natural and fluid when you witness the motion of a character's hand when they talk. Compare that with Dragon Age and you get the picture..
Also i find that the elements(fire/ice/poison) kind of break immersion for me as you see those dagger with fire burning effects on your back when in conversation. The helmet thingy was kinda irritating too. I tried the no helmet mod too but seems to me it has some bugs... Most of the time it does not re-equip after conversation and you lose the helmet armor bonuses.
Am not looking for crysis 2 graphics but i don't know .. AC2 or PoP:TFS graphics looks fine though.
And finally the romance and sex scenes... Well if they wanted to do it right.. It's best they go all the way like The Witcher did. I felt it was really bad on the sex scenes tbh.

the game encourage a good mix of party. i always have 1 tank, 1 rogue, 1 mage and the other anyone that i want for romance. anyhow rogue and mages the most devastating that i found.
tanks are good to draw agro and the purpose is just to tank. rogue/archers/mages can flank. play the game in normal. previously pre 1.04 patch rogue gets no bonus damage from dex which they should have. i won the game at normal difficulty even with no dex bonus.
I like all the changes, the flashy moves, graphics and faster paced of the combat. One thing i agreed is the camera. No tactical view which is crucial for a game like Dragon Age. I believe the camera is just due to demo.
Cons i dislike basically are the friendly fire. It certainly does remove tactical depth in gameplay for me.
1. Combat Feels Like An Action/RPG Battles in Dragon Age II feel like they evolved more from the console version of Origins than the PC. Instead of a deliberate and tactical approach, fights take place in third person and focus more on fast-paced action. This is true even if you’re playing on PC, so don’t be surprised when you can’t find your zoomed-out isometric view. Yes, this is a significant change from the last game…but being different isn’t necessarily bad.
Wow.. this seems really bad.. No more zoom out isometric tactical view for PC? Targeting will be hell!
well if strongly depends whether or not if you are a fan of the dragon age series.
if u r a strong fan then yes it is worth getting.
i always have trust in bioware but seems every post in bioware forum even their fans are giving strongly negative reviews and it's just not simply trolling and bad-mocking. they provide very valid and fair reviews of the game.
i won't just buy blindly if the game is really bad. i tried the demo and im alittle disappointed due to the no tactical view, friendly fire and honestly the graphics is quite dated.
i'm feeling a little happy that i didn't preorder earlier.. i already have plan to go and hunt for the signature edition but now i think i probably won't.
i'll wait for a patch and what the developers have to say and prorbably read more reviews.
hey guys.. i don't understand what's the fuss. i personally find the game very enjoyable. i do agree the below need to be fixed:
1. tactical isometric camera 2. more content/areas/etc. basically beside kirkwall all the maps was being reused again and again. Kirkwall feels empty and only the characters and companions looks visually good.. the rest of the NPCs looks crap. 3. ability to change armor/equipment for companion.
I'm replaying as a Force Mage. In ACT2 now but it's getting boring. Most of the dialogue i don't bother to listen and i'm only ESC, ESC, ESC and choose the right dialogue choices.
Won the game using a Rogue in first play and Vendetta/Assassinate is a monster!.. Playing HARD difficulty on both playthrough though.
anyone tried auto level up all the way? is it good?
No idea about it.. but i definitely would choose my upgrade effectively.. Earlier on without ccc... game was so much tougher. Getting ccc is key for me though
