QUOTE(H@H@ @ Mar 1 2011, 03:06 AM) Y'can't keep a good dragon down... But, err... they kinda want to come down themselves (So you can beat them apparently). Case in point: Poor Skyrim dragon. Even the dragons in Baldur's Gate 2 gave up their flight advantage haha. Maybe it's like an extended kick in the nuts and secretly they're all just laughing at you. Think about all those other dragons that you've killed, who apparently gave up their advantage (Flight), so they could lose to you on the ground. Maybe all these dragons are feeling charitable and want to give us poor mortals a chance to have some fun. |

QUOTE(mekboyz @ Mar 1 2011, 09:48 AM) Hey if you can have homosexual sex scenes, anything is possible. I'd hit it. QUOTE(H@H@ @ Mar 1 2011, 09:50 AM) At the risk of sounding sexist, I'd say the sister looks more distinctive than her brother (What with that weird chainmail dress and neck scarf compared to his rather bland villager outfit). Based on that, I'd already assumed the brother would always die until I tried a mage. Yeah, apart from that I also like her personality and the fact that she is an apostate. I find apostates very sexy This post has been edited by Enclave Recruit: Mar 1 2011, 09:57 AM |

QUOTE(FrostLance @ Mar 5 2011, 11:37 AM) Finished my Preload on steam! im shocked.. only 5.2 GB!!! the Demo was 2 GB! so Damn SMALL for a bioware game! Origins was 20gb and the awakening was 4gb!!! ahhhh is this game really that short!! Yeah, because the game has considerably less dialogue in it hence the smaller size of megabytes. Or maybe the devs were lazy and made a shorter game compared to DAO. They know people will still buy the game anyway.Added on March 5, 2011, 11:42 am OMG this sux ass..i cant change my party members inventory??? WTF! Christ son, its action to the max!! If you envision this game as Mass Effect with swords, then its all good. Just like Oblivion with guns haha. This post has been edited by Enclave Recruit: Mar 5 2011, 12:07 PM |

QUOTE(H@H@ @ Mar 5 2011, 02:02 PM) For today's standards, that's actually quite decent. But if you compare with the gems of the yesteryear, e.g. Baldur's Gate 2 which was really long (250 hours side quests included if I'm not mistaken), then you'd be disappointed. |

QUOTE(jonjon87 @ Mar 5 2011, 10:47 PM) haha I have been trying to 'look on the bright side'. This is what i came up with: Let me answer the second one for you. 1) Bethany would remain hot (at least for me) with her standard clothes since you cant make her wear ugly chantry crap clothes/armor. Also no ugly headgear that makes her look like simpsons 2) .........i still cant think of another one......... You can engage in an incestuous relationship with Bethany May the Maker have mercy on your soul. Hey, if you can convince Loghain to have sex with Morrigan haha, anything is possible This post has been edited by Enclave Recruit: Mar 5 2011, 10:58 PM |

Ok, apart from the horrendous camera, my other gripe would be the usage of certain powerful items which is restricted only to Hawke alone. Grrrrrrr
And I can't change Bethany's attire. I find her clothes too modest... |

DA2 feels kinda rushed. Now I know why its only 5 GB compared to DA:O's enormous 10 GB. Initially, I thought the geniuses at Bioware had competently compressed all the supposed awesomeness into a small package haha.
I truly miss DA:O's myriad and distinct locations (e.g. Orzammar, Redcliffe village, Denerim). In DA2, I keep going back to the same places no thanks to the whole game taking place in one location which kinda reminds me of Oblivion's identical caves and dungeons. As for combat, what's up with respawning foes. After killing a group of bandits, another group appears out of nowhere lol. Furthermore, players were given the freedom to customize companions' apparels in DA:O but its now restricted to Hawke alone. Moreover, the camera is atrocious. I'd like to lynch the person who decided to change the camera perspective to strictly 3rd person. No wonder Flemeth didn't even bother to fly to Kirkwall, it seriously stinks. I will end my rant by presenting a picture of Bethany cheekily trying to grab Fenris' testicles in the Chantry haha. QUOTE(Aoshi_88 @ Mar 13 2011, 05:30 PM) Why all the hate? As much as it's not the best Bioware release ever, I still found it enjoyable after ignoring everything that wasn't DAO(aside from the repeated dungeons). I may be a sucker for easy gameplay but DA2 certainly filled in the boxes, it's not as clunky as DAO. Combat was also more fluid and not as stiff. Granted, the storyline isn't as immersive as DAO but I felt as if every choice I made could make a difference(a key issue). Well to be fair, DA2 does have its merits. They've toned down the mage's crowd control and nuke spells a couple of notches to make the class less of a juggernaut of destruction and made the warrior a lot more powerful rather than just a useless sponge soaking up damage. Combat is faster and bloody satisfying albeit somewhat easier (playing on hard difficulty btw). All I'm wondering now is when's the next release because I know they've left it deliberately with an open ending. I like Bethany This post has been edited by Enclave Recruit: Mar 13 2011, 07:04 PM |

The Revenant in DA2 is like a pus**. Easily vanquished even on nightmare.
I remember in DAO, I used to tremble at the sight of a Revenant with its fearsome big ass blade and devastating "tractor beam" ability. The most effective method to kill them is to spam hex spells and run around a lot haha. Now that is not necessary. This post has been edited by Enclave Recruit: Mar 19 2011, 01:23 PM |

QUOTE(Spiritviper @ Mar 19 2011, 02:15 PM) Agree to that. Revenants are now pretty much cannon fodder, you can even deal elemental damage to them now, which means that by now even a mage can 1v1 them without much trouble on lower difficulties. I used to save after stumbling across phylacteries knowing that a Revenant will arise and wreck havoc haha. It was only one Revenant against a party of 4 and that was more than enough. On the other hand, rage demons become quite a pain to kill though, no thanks to their habit of disappearing underground every time after taking a few hits from my party members. As for the Rage Demons, just stun them and they will go nowhere. They are very susceptible to Winter's Grasp and any cold damage. |

Fenriss freaks me out with his hand into the body trick.
When a gay can do that, you'd best be cautious. |

QUOTE(kianweic @ Apr 6 2011, 10:24 PM) Actually, is there any other places than Kirkwall in DA2? You'll be spending most of your time in Kirkwall. Welcome to the suck my Ferelden brethren. Enjoy your stay.I am about level 7 but I am still in Kirkwall (more or less). Beware of respawning foes. Their annoyance will break you muahaha. |

QUOTE(WintersuN @ Apr 8 2011, 10:59 PM) It is supposed to enlighten those who wish to know more about the lore of the game. You would appreciate the game a little bit more if you knew about the story behind each character or the various locations frequently mentioned in the game. But if you don't want to read it, its fine too haha. |

Finally killed the so-called High Dragon. I missed it in my first playthrough.
Like the game, the High Dragon is also pretty meh. One tank to distract and 2 ranged (Sebastian and Varric) can easily kill it. The fourth guy (Fenris) only watched haha. In DAO, it was run for your f***** lives, its a DRAGOOOOONNNNNN!!!! Now, its....meh |
