QUOTE(fuiyo @ Aug 10 2010, 02:09 PM) According to Macrumours report, each telco in Australia is given 12-13k iPhone 4. well i guess ur friend is unlucky ones.... nokia2003, stringfellow and couple of regular forumers already get iphone 4 for the 2nd time in the last 2 weeks....But only 1 telco alone already received 100,000 pre-orders. A friend of mine managed to get one on the first day, whereas another was told that he needa wait for 3 more months. Just like my friend and I both pre-ordered the 3GS last year, but it was only me who got the phone in early august wheres he needa wait for 2 more months. Poor thing. lol I do hope that both Maxis and Digi could meet the demand =) I wonder if Apple will take our iPhones and supply to Singapore, NZ and Australia first who are all facing shortages? I heard people saying which I doubt so. No right? Or else we needa wait longer. why do ur friend need to wait for 3 months? that's just plain weird |

QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Aug 14 2010, 12:17 AM) u're only eligible for iData plans if u use maxis value plus 50 and up postpaid plans. not available for hotlink prepaid true... my 3gs serves me well with free 500mb data/permonth and it'll expire this september... for hotlink u need the Mobile Internet package, which is rm68 per month for 500mb. rm88 for 1.5gb and rm98 for 3gb. this is not an iphone-only package, any phone can purchase so lets say u reload rm100, n purchase the 500mb plan. so 100-68=rm32, so u credit for calls/sms/etc is rm32. calls n sms rates according to what hotlink plan u use. but then 500mb/month data is free for the 1st year so no need to pay lah at least that's how i understand it for my usage... i guess 500mb is more than enough.... hopefully maxis will do this again with iphone 4 eventhou im kinda skeptical about it |

QUOTE(jiro1986 @ Aug 18 2010, 04:10 PM) ya... its the same... but with maxis u need to worry everytime u surf net... need open close open close... scare over limit.. im using 500mb plan and trust me.... i seldom over limit.... even when im using iphone to tethering my PC or Laptop, i still have some left..... and u know maxis is blood sucker.... especially the internet side... using an iphone is the point of get online all the time... so if its 2 year or so on its ok.. unless u thinking of changing telco... after 1 year new generation iphone come out... if u wanna tie to new contract then this idea not for u... i will buy without contract phone as malaysia will launch very very late.. hence this plan work out for me.... |

QUOTE(s3an_looi @ Sep 4 2010, 11:54 PM) apparently there's a hardware revision shipping out in September 30 ol' news is ol'.....http://www.dailytech.com/Report+New+iPhone...rticle19517.htm just to shared a light a bit about this hardware revision thingie.... hardware revision means the phone will be inspected by FCC for approval... meaning the iphone 4 will be and will be inspected again and if its approved by FCC then it can be sold.... even apple could do it secretly, wont u think consumers are really that naive not to recognize it... further more FCC? u wont want to mess with FCC and the lawsuits... plus.... hardware revision means apple company would declare there is a problem with the antenna and dont u think this will cause an uproar AND this move will cost apple BILLIONS.... i mean BILLIONS! think logically for a bit..... come on.... i mean i know if its from internet, it must be true... but this is outrageous... |

QUOTE(jphlau @ Sep 7 2010, 11:58 AM) apple clearly wants to release iphone at countries where the 3g speed is fast, not terrible like what digi and maxis is offering. i do not agree with ur statement sir, we may lag in speed, but consistency of our 3g is better than at&t.... dont believe me? ask fellow americans how they despise at&t network so much |

QUOTE(BigJoe @ Sep 22 2010, 04:21 PM) Maxis just loves giving shocking bills ! just remember this.... when u using a smartphone.. (be it android or iphone) u cannot rule out the data usage....99.99% the CS says they can't do anything about it or my case the girl even said she got a shocking bill too now most of us kindda cheapskate.... want to use smartphone but never want to get the data plan... try to save of course.... but at the end of the day whines of shocking bills... last time with my 3gs and im using prepaid.... i got free 500mb permonth for a year and guess what?? i could never over-use it... with my push functions at ON mode, surfing moderately, heck... i even do some tethering but never could over-used it.... 500mb last time was only rm58.... if my calculations are right... rm300++>rm58 |

I thought it stated at the T&C that the free minutes time u get is to all telco, not sure about sms and mms... So we pay rm155 ( if ure on ivalue2) if we did not exceed and pay the differences if we exceed respectfully. Correct me uf im wrong here since both the CS and the T&C at the maxis website are tally with each other.

QUOTE(mstr583 @ Nov 20 2010, 11:18 PM) Planning to register from new Iphone from Maxis. yes... thats about it... and they'll bill u rm100 on ur bill every month for 2 years contract period. Currently is using Valueplus 50. May I know how much is I going to pay if get Iphone 16gb with iValue 1 24 months contract? Phone price (RM1390)+Prepayment (RM400)=RM1790 Is that all?? QUOTE(tarepanda1201 @ Nov 21 2010, 10:35 AM) I'm currently using Hotlink prepaid, should i convert to postpaid first only i can subscribe the iValue plan?? I dun wan the Hotlink plan. yes... it is better that way.... it would make things easy for u to register for new iphoneQUOTE(whatsayyou @ Nov 21 2010, 11:07 PM) got a qns. iValue 1 can tether to laptop? so i can cancel my maxis BB and use my phone to get online on my laptop? iphone 4 can be tethered, regardless if its prepaid or postpaid, the only question u should be asking is 1gb permonth enough for u to use? remember, tethering uses data and when u use it to tether, all desktop website (flash included) are way bigger in size and what does this means is the higher the data usage...i suggest u stick to ur BB for a peace of mind |
