I think the iData plan sounds fishy. I just received my first bill today. I share the bill with my brother. He subscribe iValue1 plan, while I subscribe iData2 plan. There is nothing weird with his bill except mine. I chose iData2 because I want the lowest commitment as possible. If possible I don’t want to bond in any contract at all because I always not in this country but I got no choice. They don’t want to sell the iPhone4 without contract. I rarely use this phone for calling because this is just my secondary number to get the iPhone4 during the first launch. How come my bill can up to RM87? Last time the agent told me I just need to pay RM50 for the 500mb data. Of course I understand I need to top up the bill for any call. The problem is I seldom use for call. Normally I use this phone to surf internet. Why I need to pay for Value Plus Family Supp about RM27? I already paid for the iPhone4 32GB (1 year) at higher price which is RM2390 where my brother only paid RM1990. RM400 different. How come my bill not much different with his? Some more he can get 1GB data where mine only can get 500mb. This is unfair. They never mention about RM27 monthly commitment when I want to subscribe. Some more didn’t state at the brochure during that time.

If I know this will happen, I rather add another RM13 to subscribe the iValue1 plan to get more benefits and I can save RM244 a year (RM400 – RM13(12).

POYOZER,

If need to, try negotiate with Maxis to change plan to iValue1. I'm sure they allow you to upgrade, but not downgrade, during the contract period.

That means I still in losing part because I already paid for the phone at higher price.

not really. iData has no contract period. thats the trade off for the higher price

That means I can stop at any time?

(RRP - Upfront Cost) x (Remaining months / 12 months) + RM100 Admin Fee

eg.
(RM2690 - RM2390) x (11/12) + RM100 = RM375
