Well this is how I arrange my Unifi network for my Apple hardware environment blush.gif
Managed to remove the ugly Dlink orange white router, thanks to 76radius.  thumbup.gif

Hey mamakap, may I know how much you paid for that linksys switch (I assume its L2 Manageable) ? I tried to untagged fe4 and connect IPTV directly to huawei modem without success. whenever I reboot that modem, VLAN and port automatically switch back to tagged 400/500/600. Can't change the configuration at all.
thankyou

Some BTUs like the fiberhome pull their firmware + settings from a remote server every time the unit is booted so you can't save any settings on it sad.gif Also, I think the Linksys switch he's using is 76radius's old Cisco IDS switch which I configured as a VLAN bridge a month+ ago (?). It's around RM450-600+ retail so I think you might be better off just buying an actual managed switch with VLAN support.
Mine fried about 2 weeks after the install. Low quality equipment sad.gif

In that case I have no choice, I'll go down to Singapore and get L2 Netgear smartswitch. I think that's the cheapest I can get. other than that, TP-Link L2 switch looks like another cheaper alternative...

I think your SIP login/password has been changed by someone. It happened to me as well. Just becareful! I hate this, basically if someone manage to get hold of your SIP account, you are pratically in danger.

They can use your number to sign-in and call HP/Overseas for FREE and you will have to pay for that.

Please beware of that... Not only you need to secure the DIR-615, make sure your modem is not accessible from outside.

*Port scanning from VOIP network is possible, so beware* and so do remote access*

I am using subang exchange too, I don't have any problem here. Maybe your Dlink router hang?

I'm overseas right now... asked sis to check my router login/password. seems fine. Link / Auth lights on.

I'm not subang exchange but subang airport exchange... turn off the main switch to reboot whole thing... not working... sigh... I've terminated my streamyx.. no backup at all..
thankyou

Guys.... for those who haven't got unifi.
Please do not be so excited.
My Unifi is up last Wednesday...... Sunday my DIR 615 modem start boycotting me.... today its totally die!!!
Less the 7 days, can't imagine that.....
When you call tech support, you telling them modem issue.... they keep telling you that you having connection issue to Unifi, sound like fail to dial up.
Damn....!
So think carefully before you get one.

I really wonder what could be the reason of failure... TM really need to fix this before they start to bill customer!
thankyou

Huh?? How long did they get back to u after logging in a report? Really tmnut lah.

To reconfigure didn't take long. It took them about 15 minutes to reconfigure. To get them come over your house is really painful. I called them almost everyday to get them to come over...
thankyou

Hi Guys,

I was affected by the VOIP as well. Did changed my password for the 3rd time already!

Something to share with you, jack account wasn't added by someone who broke into your modem. Infact, jack was already exists during Unifi installation. I believe this was added during firmware preparation but yet, the engineer forgot to remove that account before finalize the firmware.

If you make a system factory restore, i believe jack account will appear again.
thankyou

mine already exist during installation...  hmm.gif

and there is no option to change the password for "telecomadmin" TM support ppl can login to ur BTU anytime they wanna...  sweat.gif

What I can suggest this method is to backup the configuration. Open it up with notepad (it is XML format). look for telecomadmin, and change the password.

Restore the configuration and try again. Hopefully it works. I haven't try it before since I'm not in Malaysia at the moment.
