Also, I think the Linksys switch he's using is 76radius's old Cisco IDS switch which I configured as a VLAN bridge a month+ ago (?). It's around RM450-600+ retail so I think you might be better off just buying an actual managed switch with VLAN support.
Mine fried about 2 weeks after the install. Low quality equipment sad.gif

Oh forgot to thanks to you too. blush.gif The IDS switch is far more better then the Dlink, I also use it to do other connection, beside just for Unifi. I recommend people to get it, if they have the budget. tongue.gif

Called Unifi technician, they found out on Saturday morning some TM contractor open up the manhole to do some wiring and accidentally twisted the fiber optic cable. I only found out in the late morning, after I came back from breakfast. shakehead.gif I wonder who are those contractor can qualify to be TM's installer?

@klseet

Anyway, that's very good news for Huawei BTU owners. Fiberhome BTUs lock the switch ports to 1 device at a time so this is pretty much impossible for us early adopters sad.gif

rizvanrp,

You mean I just connect my router to Huawei LAN2 for my internet connection? As for IPTV, I still need a switch support VLAN to connect to my set-top-box? unsure.gif

Guide as requested,

Any other questions kindly drop me a PM.

Also I will not be held responsible for any hardware problems in which would occur if somehow you screw up on the steps. So please at least have some knowledge on how to configure your personal router before hand.

Or just read the manual of the devices before proceed with this guide.

Good luck have fun tongue.gif

Thanks for the tips pr0di9y, so the IPTV still cannot connect directly to the Huawei BTU?
