Soliton just informed us the speed post EMS shipping option as follows:
Option 1: 10~20 units in a box = SGD73
Option 2: 30~40 units in a box = SGD114

So if got > 10 confirmed then start start option 1 already !  nod.gif

For bt download, highly depending on seed. Can go to as high as 2.2M Byte/s
for bt upload, easilly hit max speed of 2.2M Byte/s if I don't limit the speed.

For direct download sites, avarage about 120K Byte coz I am only free user.

So in summary, if you cash & carry from Soliton SG, the price is SGD59, you may claim back the 7% VAT while leaving SG.
My suggestion only bring the item without the box, so you can say it's your own used computer items should the border custom ask.
You can only claim GST if you fly in and out. Not when if you drive through JB.

Anyway, just a suggestion. Can you check with Soliton that since these items are for export to Malaysia and not meant for Singapore use, could they cut out the 7% GST?

It can be "slow" if you're a free user. I find MegaUpload (or is it MegaShare) is the fastest in terms of speed for free user. I hit about close to 1MB/s as a free user.

Anyway, I checked all my rar files downloaded yesterday morning (about 50GB or so) and they were all ok. thumbup.gif

You can hit 2.5MB/s but the average would turn out to be around 2.2MB/s or so.

Now still waiting for the actual confirmation from the rest to determine shipping costing, should be around SGD59 +/-
I suggest confirmation cut-off date by 14Sep10 Sun, after which will proceed to payment detail & place order.
Will PM you guys payment detail once get the confirmation.

So if can get some 20units, we are looking to complete payment & place order by end of next week, or faster if can confirm & make payment faster.

Oh that means cannot get refund if you drive there ....
Yes, export out of SG is without VAT so the cost is SGD55 + estimate SGD4 [estimate averaging] it still comes to about SGD59
