My company got order thing from Ingram so I just use my company's account.
You can find their web page for contact and ask them whether they sell direct to end user or not.

I have successfully configured Microtik RB250GS.

Very simple and seems to be better than PPPOE on BTU Hua Wei

Solved all my Port Forwarding and NAT issues too.

Hi,

In addition to my home VIP5, I have a BIZ20 with 5 fixed IP for my office. I was away when the BIZ20 was set up, and TM set it up pretty much standalone from my office network. The staff have been testing it out by using the WiFi on the DIR-615 so far.

Today finally got to the office so played around with it. From what I've seen the setup on the DIR-615 connects over PPPoE and gets my first fixed IP, and they've set up a local LAN that does NAT behind it.

I Reconfigured the DIR-615 with rizvanrp's config to make it bridging only, and set up my router (centos PC with multiple NICs) to run a pppoe to it, and I get my first public IP on the router. Works fine up to here.

I'm wondering though, how and where my other 4 IPs are to fit in to this picture. I have the subnet mask details, etc, but am just not familiar with how multiple IPs work with a PPPoE configuration.

Can anyone familiar shed some light on this? At least at a logical network level? I guess it would be similar to Streamyx + 5 fixed IP configuration -- not that I know how that looks like either.

-- edit --

kind of solved this one already ... 8-)

Just as I thought we were ahead of Singapore with Unifi 20 Mbps, SingTel just launched their FTTH service, dubbed exStream.

Download/upload/international: 200 Mbps / 100 Mbps / 25 Mbps (they actually state international speeds separately).

For those that may need it, here's a script for connecting a Linux/Ubuntu PC to UniFi directly (i.e. without a router). The script can either support connecting to your BTU via :

(1) A D-Link running in vlan bridge mode or Mikrotik switch doing vlan tagging or
(2) Direct connection of PC to BTU (*without* d-link bridge or mikrotik).

You can use this if all you have is one Linux PC to be connected to UniFi, or perhaps your router is screwed up and you just want to temporarily get a Linux PC online. Or, if you're a bit more adventurous, you could use it as part of a Home Linux Router solution (just add another ethernet card and setup NAT and connect your other PCs).

I tested it with Ubuntu, though it should be portable to other Linux distributions. There are some settings at the top of the script you need to set.

I haven't got IPTV working (my netbook has only one ethernet port), but there are some barebones code in there you could try out. If you come up with fixes to get IPTV it working, please let me know.

Save the file as "run_unifi_pppoe.sh".

To run it just execute "sudo sh run_unifi_pppoe.sh". To stop it, press control-C in the terminal you ran it from.

If you want it to come on automatically, and stay running, add the following to your /etc/inittab file:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Don't forget that with this, your Linux PC is directly on the internet. Make sure you have secure passwords, and disable unnecessary services. Better still, install a firewall script.

I'll add some notes for UniFi BIZ with 5-fixed IP package later.

Got someone to pickup from Soliton . SGD59.

If you need the contact. Let me know.

I have asked if they will send it, they prefer us to pick it up and carry across the border.

But networking equipment is taxable.

I think if you're carrying only one, you can open the box, carry it in your luggage and say it's for personal use. They will normally let you through. If you have 3 or 4, then ... sweat.gif
