I used to be on Streamyx 1mb for RM88 per month. Add to this RM20 for the phone line, I used to pay RM108 per month for 1Mb of internet access.

At RM149 per month for the unifi VIP5, the additional RM41 per month now gives me 5 x faster internet access, HyppTV (programming sux though) and supposedly FREE calls to landlines using the VOIP phone.

Leaving out the issues currently faced with the equipment, I'd say it's worth the whole nine yards .... or the RM41 more per month brows.gif

Ok, i see, what will be the cap per day or cap per month?

2 hours movie in DVD dual layer is approx. 8.5 GB, if you watching average 4 hours internet TV per day alone without PC internet, that will be approx. 17GB per day.

Monthly will be 510GB per month or 0.5 TB per month.
Correct me if I am wrong from the above assumption ?

Cap only on internet. nothing else counted not TV not phone. and only download from international sources not upload

Atm you are right about the worth of adding RM41, wait till they impose the cap then it will be a whole different story of worth.

Eh guys..i want to ask something..

What happend if i terminate streamyx late?

Example :

Applied UNIFI on 9th August.
Terminate Streamyx/Phone on 25 August.

What will happend eh?I need to pay RM 150(2MB) for my streamyx for that month?

Or no need pay?
*
Terminate phone line and Streamyx is up to 14 days from application date to terminate, you'll still need to pay until the day they cut your line.

I know about the USB port but I'm worried of putting additional stress on the router. Afterwards the lifetime
become lesser and lesser...

Tried a few pcs and notebooks connecting to the same gateway, some works fine, some problematic. Situation improved after Router Config changed:

My housing area here everything completed, cabling done, the white box already installed, they also already install the switch cabinet nearby and saw them terminating, marking and testing the fiber optic cable 2 weeks ago.

Yet still cannot apply yet ! Sigh, very slow the way they work.

Had problem with Youtube HD today. Normally everything streams smooth and fast, but tonight anything that is HD is super slow. Anything that is 480 and below is ok.

Could it be that TM throttle Unifi users from Youtube HD? I'm going to be really pissed if this is the case.

87Mbps?!

wow... if UNIFY can go higher, then they should give extras to make up the lost in signal which i get average of 18Mbps instead of VIP20Mbps...sighs. the same goes with streamyx. seems customer is always at a lost.
