dear ht kakis, appreciate your feedback or recommendation for my "shopping list"

here is what i have in mind.

totally floored by JBL Project Array 1000, 880 and the 1500 smile.gif

kinda had my mind on the Bryston 4B and 6B SST2...a visit to the av design HT setup sorta sealed in the deal ( imho the av design HT setup was way to boomy...but hey to attract the crowds that surely worked!!!) If it's a 6.1 then is 2X 6B

decided on the Schneider Anamorphic lens adapter - saw the panamorph in action at av design, some vignetting was present, so Schneider here i come.

difficult choice between jvc rs15 and 25...both are really close to each other..sad.gif

rotel RSP-1570 audio/videoprocessor...only drawback is 1 (ONE) HDMI out...a real bummer...any other suggestions?

a couple of notes I have.

love the spendor sp100...would you think that a all sp100r, ls3/5r and c5.2 would give me that "dynamic range and punch of the JBL's? I listen to music as well and I know for a fact I will enjoy the spendor as a musical speaker more than the JBL's...i will need to go for a full blown audition of the JBL next week...smile.gif

I have audition a lot of speakers for HT, all sounded very noisy when driven loud, I am after the cinematic sound and experience whereby the sound is loud but it does not hurt my ear at the high frequency range. The speakers i auditioned were no where near clipping but the high frequencies were very offending unlike in the cinema...the sound is smooth, has the depth and still manage to retain the wide soundstage - the jbl project array 1000 had that. Any recommendation to give the jbl project 1000 a run for its money?

subs.....will have to drive to down to seremban to visit htkakis svs's....smile.gif maybe use the jbl 1500 to 30hz, then the svs takes over for really low stuff...after all svs is good for really low frequencies...

anything I missed out?

appreciate it for all your forth coming inputs

thanks

one truly confuse HT kaki wannabe...smile.gif

bro, I guess you are going to Flagship AV to audition the JBL, right? They do have a PB13-Ultra as well as 2x PC13-Ultra for the show. So, you will also get to audition the PB13-Ultra along with the JBL next week.

However, you are most welcome to our demo room in Seremban to have a feel of the real SVS. Do let me know in advance before you come over as I need to accompany Mr Ron Stimpson, President of SVS for about a week. I will be in Singapore with him on this weekend as KEC will do a product launch for SB series. SB12-Plus will be on demo there. Eager to try that out.

Didn't pit the Klipsch against Project Array. So, can't comment much on that. No, never audition Krix before too.

Was told that there are 2 subs (rear left and right) and another 4 subs up front in AV Design room. That probably explain the boominess.
