Thanks guys. Haven't really had time to explore/experiment with the cam settings as I'm new to android and most of it in full auto. I'm actually quite sure it can perform even better with a seasoned user.
@taylorskaki Snapped the flower while waiting at the LRT station for a movie date with wifey @sanosizo Nope, it was a quick one, no one realized it, but even if someone did, nothing wrong with shooting at a public place what @pluginbaby Haha, I'm fully grown complete with a goatie and I was sitting appropriately on an allotted seat. Used my thigh to hold the cam together as you can guess how shaky it was to shoot in there |

@hihihehe
You're in OZ bro? Which part? That's the only western country in winter around this time. And of course, I noticed the Telstra phone booth @Revamperz Yeah, traded in my W995 for a white X10, stunning little thing. I've always maintained that the trick to a good mobile photo is wipe your lens clean every single time before shooting and get the right exposure/EV value. The rest is just the camera hardware and software which, on the X10 is wow. Much less effort that with my W995 but better quality photos. Too bad the photo light is only good for macro shots in dark environment instead of a proper flash, that's the only thing I miss about my W995. |

QUOTE(chkhoo76 @ Sep 24 2010, 08:40 PM) Agreed, X10 night shots not as good as the day ones. But then again, even dedicated digital cameras can't take same quality night shots as their daylight ones. Here are some 6mp examples taken with X10 vs Kodak C613X10 ![]() Kodak ![]() X10 ![]() Kodak ![]() X10 ![]() Kodak ![]() X10 ![]() Kodak ![]() Under the circumstances, X10 did quite OK since as you can see from the Kodak photos the lighting is very poor but X10 manage to capture it as though it is adequate. |

QUOTE(ferum @ Oct 14 2010, 11:53 AM) i can see here, sony ericsson always have the best camera & photo quality.. no doubt coz it use sony sensor (correct me if i'm wrong) Thanks guys. Well, hardware alone can only go so far. Other than the sensor the edge SE has over other OEMs is the image processing algorithm that determines the colours, saturation, noise suppression, contrast and so forth that has been in Sony's expertise for a while now. But these days the gap is narrowing as I can see many excellent photos from Samsung, Nokia and even HTC because most importantly, neither software nor hardware would matter if you don't know how to bring out the best in your device Some pics to share ![]() ![]() *X10*Unedited*Stock Software* This post has been edited by mode893: Oct 15 2010, 11:31 PM |

QUOTE(stevenX @ Apr 10 2011, 05:43 PM) Of course, I use the settings ie. in bright daylight I use daylight WB, when cloudy & dull I use cloudy WB, at the beach I use Beach & Snow scene and Night Landscape scene for night outdoor shots, that's all. But adjusting EV value for bright conditions will result in better exposure and contrast Added on April 14, 2011, 12:58 amSome from my collection » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « *X10*Zero Editing*Stock Software* This post has been edited by mode893: Apr 14 2011, 01:54 AM |
