So far 2 million people are " dumb" to buy iphone 4 ?? No , they buy because they are so obsessed by Steve Jobs who repeatedly says it is the best smartphone in the world.

When you really love something, you can always accept and just choose to ignore some negative aspects - in this case, video calls only ip4 to ip4 and thro wifi only, limited multitasking, proximity sensor still unresolve, no voice to text function etc etc
Just like buying your favorite car and having a girlfriend/wife - there is no perfection here. What you don't like , others will like and vice versa

Those who do not like the iP4 would like to play up these negative aspects. Just like apple fans would play up Android or Window Mobile negatives. Semua sama sama.

Frankly Steve Jobs couldn't be bother with his critics as they are only a minority. Just reported Apple in last June quarter 8.4 million iphones, 3.27 million iPads, 3.47 million Macs, and 9.4 million iPods. And profit in this quarter was US$3 billion ! So figures speaks for themselves - Steve is saying - To hell with you critics, you don't like my products - no problem, I have many willing to line up to buy.

Back to the topic, best android phone. My 2 sens here Just basing on specs , in Msia now is the Galaxy S. Out in the UK/USA - Motorola Droid X. Given a choice I will go for the Droid X , pity not available here

These are my personal experience with the SGS:

The SGS will lag once you installed it up with apps. Infact no need to install, just use any file explorer and access example the SD card - first access will be about 2-3 secs depending how much data you have on card. This lag is becaue of the Samsung file system ( a fact Samsung acknowledge will improve it). Compared to other Androids the file access is almost instant

When it is loaded up with apps, there is a lag in launching. The UI will not be as smooth as before

I was very disspaointed then with it ; I installed froyo and all available lagfix ( OCLF n Voodoo ) but the improvement is there I consider only margibnal. Many SGS users were estatic when the lag fix installed and quoted a high quadarnt reading. I got a 2350 reading but I find it meaningless as it still loses out terribly to my HD2 ( ruunning Android ), uncomparable to my ex NexusOne and even the Dell Streak on ver 1.6 ( on a quadrant of only 950) performs better than it in terms of UI, launch, file access. It loses out terribly against the upgraded Dell ( Froyo)

Well, this is just my experience in the SGS

Have tested the DHD ( friend's unit in Spore) - it is definately many levels above the SGS

The SGS however is unbeatable in display, and its great video options

adrianzz: I would go for the LG as I feel software is more important than looks. If looks is important you can get even much cheaper phones. For Androids, one should buy one with the latest software or at least upgradeable to Froyo 2.2 minimum ; able to upgrade to 2.3 is a bonus
