Wildfire and Desire isn't in the same league. you can compare the specs and there is a significant difference between them.

do u mean between galaxy S and desire or galaxy S and wildfire..

well.. i personally prefer the galaxy S coz it handles games much better and screen is beautiful.. but the desire is a more stable and solid fone..

if u play games on ur fone, or intend to play some 3D games, u shud go for the galaxy S, coz the desire might not be able to handle it..

or not then wait for the desire HD and desire Z which are supposed to come with the adreno205 GPU which is very much better than the current snapdragon GPU

owh, and if ur comparing wildfire and desire.. then desire wins hands down. coz theyre from different range.. desire is high end, wildfire is entry level to mid range android fone.

When will the desire hd and desire z will be out? Are they better than desire?

not very sure when it will be out here in malaysia.. but i tink shud be end of the year.. that one u haf to ask at the desire HD thread..

and yes it shud be better than the desire..

You can email HTC and get an official answer. They'll reply within 24 hours, then you can let us know too. None of us knows for sure.

Spec wise both are better than Desire. If you have the budget for Samsung Galaxy S, then you should look at the Desire HD.

Last time i want suggestion for budget android..after do some calculation, now looking android for medium or starting user as this my first experience with android OS..

come guys, give your suggestion..i only think of htc wildfire..any other suggestion..

desire is a lot faster.. it has a 1ghz snapdragon processor while the wildfire oni has a 528mhz i tink..

besides that, the desire has a bigger screen and has a bigger RAM.. which makes a faster and better android experience.. which is why its much more expensive as compared to the wildfire.

owh, and the resolution on the wildfire is 320*240 i tink which is pretty sad.. the htc desire has a resolution of 800*480.. its up to u.. if ur on a budget, then go for the wildfire, it is also a good fone..

but if ur budget allows it, the desire is a better fone.. or if u wanna top up a little bit more from the desire.. then the Galaxy S is also an awesome fone (best for gaming and watching videos)

well wildfire is the entry level phone in the HTC Android line up, it screen resolution is the main let down... coz u can't install certain apps because of the resolution is not supported or after u open the apps it will not display or distorted display...
desire is a high end phone at the moment in HTC Android line up, it is a good phone where there is not much limitation on it which u face on wildfire... except it does not has a front VGA camera for video call... other than that it is a complete package...
if you have budget, then Galaxy S is the one where u can get slightly bigger and nicer screen, better gpu and also lighter phone (compare to Desire)... but the build quality is as solid as desire...

Added on September 19, 2010, 8:55 pmof course if you want to get a proper android i would say Aria or Legend is better... but if you don mind the limitation on Wildfire then u can get it...
the limitation is mostly on Apps supported because of the screen resolution 320x240, where most of the apps is create for 480x320...
other than that i'm quite happy with the wildfire on my hand now... coz i'm not really into gaming and a lot of apps... my major requirement is email, internet on the go, msg and of course phone calls...
set your priority and then only u can make a proper decision...

So since Digi have Legend, is it viable for me to get it from there with suitable plans?

I was on Nokia 5800XM before getting Legend via Digi Smartplan. Legend is a whole league ahead of 5800xm.

Ill rather choose milestone compared to HTC Legend.

Milestone seems so much better compared to HTC Legend, no offense. My girlfriend is using Legend and i'm on Milestone. Only thing i dont have HTC Sense... but i have a keyboard + better & biger display + can use universal root.

AP Milestone is only rm12xx, a damn good buy! imo.
