No need

how if we wana 2 instal new PAY ap
just install, no need do anything

can do as nokia phone and break d limition
no need break, android has no such limitation

capitive touch screen is better d resisten is it
yes, definitely..............after you try the capacitive screen, guarantee you wont touch resistive screen anymore

can this set support multi touch as iphone we can larger o smaller d pic with 2 finger.??
Cant, G5 is not support multi touch

ok let say now im got buget 500-800 which android phone is best bang for me ... need a-gprs+wifi+good batery like...???
*
below 800 has not many choice...............
refer my post #675 for pricing

x10 mini's battery is sux, the worst battery among android phone
G5 battery is average, GPS performance is sux (same as Galaxy S)
Huawei battery performance i not sure, but Huawei IDEOS 8150's processor performance is not really good
X8 is sux at Android 1.6 now, will it upgrade later is unknown, not recommend for android 1.6
wildfire's battery performance is average but processor not good enough, screen not sharp enough
Asus A10 and HTC Aria around the same, mid range phone, but pricey
SE X10 is good, high end model, but the chance to froyo is very very low. Anyway its good buy
Motorola XT720 is very nice in term of price and performance, but quite heavy and out of your budget too much

whether the phone suport a-gprs, wifi you may check it out the spec at gsmarena.com

stupiguyplaycom, would you say that aria and legend processor is ok for a normal user? not a gamer here. likely to use android for ebook, surf, doc reading and editing and normal apps like gtalk, skype, maybe a little gmaps etc.
*
Aria, legend, Galaxy 5, X10 mini/pro, X8, Asus A10 all using same processor....................low end processor msm7227 600MHz (with weak GPU)

Wildfire and IDEOS 8150 using msm7225 528MHz (No GPU)

X10 using QSD 1GHz, high end processor, good in gaming (better GPU)
Galaxy S using much better 1GHz processor with powerful GPU

If not a hardcore gamer, all above of processor will suit you

*
smile.gif X10 mini and Galaxy 5 have same gaming performance.............
I have no ideal about X10 mini sound performance, but Galaxy 5 come with DNSe and SRS through it 5.1 simulation for headphone

I think i will take Galaxy 5...
Coz 2.1 and the screen is bigger too...
*
smile.gif Actually Galaxy 5 2.8' Screen is so small, its a major fallback for smartphone
Since many ppl asking about Galaxy 5, this the weakness everyone should be concern about
the main advantage of Galaxy 5 is pricing

Yeah, Desire AP can get around that price + a little topup. Well, because we both are having a tight budget so I guess Aria is already at our borders. Worse come to worse I will just have to bear with Wildfire smile.gif
*
smile.gif This budget I prefer Motorola xt720 or SE X10..............both with high end spec

are there any android phone around RM900?

using it as an organiser...

planning to buy an E72, but wanna try other option such android..
*
smile.gif Not many choice for android below RM900
CSL MI300 around RM8xx
SE X8 around RM7xx
Huawei Ideos 8150 around RM6xx
SE X10mini RM7xx
SE X10mini pro RM9xx
Samsung Galaxy 5 RM6xx

These low end model are small in screen size, its not so suitable for frequent typing, IMHO only

Can upgrade to 2.2, SE just haven't confirmed it. Devs at XDA are already working on froyo custom rom if you don't wanna wait for SE. Step into X10 thread to look at photo samples. Right now the experience with 2.1 is amazing plus it has high end specs at 1.1k ap set. It's a very underrated phone due to SE's stupidity in marketing their own product  doh.gif
*
laugh.gif I doubt that SE will froyo upgrade to X10 series...............custom ROM maybe

QUOTE(HybridMaestro @ Nov 28 2010, 02:03 AM)
Hi, guys. need some opinion.

I'm totally new to Android, therefore i would like to try something at the entry level. I'm torn between 2 phones.
Which are:
Samsung Galaxy 5
HTC Wildfire

1. I dont care about the camera, 2mp or 5mp with flash doesn't matter with me.
2. Some hearsay says that Wildfire has a pixelated screen. due to the screen size and resolution.
3. I read a review saying that Wildfire doesnt permit using of Swype.
4. Samsung G5 is cheaper than Wildfire by 400 MYR.

I know it has been very one-sided comment till now. But there are things that i'm worried about the Samsung G5 as well.

Problems hindering from it:
Can it support most of the needed Apps?
It has a smaller screen at 2.8".
Not sure whether it can be upgraded to FROYO or not.

Apps i think that are necessary to me are APPS like GPS. or maybe install some games with PSXAndroid.

So what do you guys think? G5 or Wildfire?

Your comments are very much appreciated. Thank You!
*
Can it support most of the needed Apps? Can, dont listen to some others said it cant support many apps, those person they did not try 320*240 actually. In fact 320*240 did not encounter any apps compatibility issue, did not found any unsupport apps till now, but for games it does, some of the games are not support.

It has a smaller screen at 2.8". SMS Typing will be more difficult than Wildfire

or maybe install some games with PSXAndroid. Galaxy 5 unable run emulator due to not support multi touch

Not sure whether it can be upgraded to FROYO or not. Not sure

Both are entry android, but wildfire a bit pricey, not suitable for heavy gamer, or you can consider the LG Optimus One, RM899 with decent spec
