Htc is overprice..huhu...if want htc just go for the highest spec like desire HD...others than that not worth it. ,.just my 2 cents...

Added on December 13, 2010, 12:48 amAll htc phone come.with same sense ui..quite bored ady...like kancil on the road...hehe
*
Check your facts dude. Not all HTC phones come with SenseUI. I have one that doesnt even have a specific SenseUI library for it. If you think SenseUI is like kancil, then all the crap UI framework that other handset makers could come up with are like cheap trishaws. They're not even framework, they're more like half-hearted attempts at skinning. wink.gif

Hey i planning to buy X 10 or Desire. The screen between these 2 models different a lot? And also the new desire comes with S-LCD and not AMOLED anymore.

Actually i have google about this , however i am getting confused since there are really many different views on the 65k or 16M color display.

hi everyone, i need some phone recommendations

1. Brand. - prefer Samsung, but price is more important.
2. Budget. - about 1k +-200 i guess.
3. Specs. - not sure what specs to look for
4. What you need in the phone - call, sms, internet, gps

if you like to take a lot of photos, go with Desire HD,
it performs the best among the 3 models in terms of photo quality,

if you need a physical qwerty keyboard (which I doubt you would), go with Desire Z

if you want the best bang for your money, go with Desire AP set.

but no matter which phone you go for (out of these 3),
its best you take extra care for them,
as neither of them is tough enough to be dropped frequently happy.gif

Actually why do people need qwerty?

And i thought I read review about Desire HD that its not really that HD cuz the screen and stuff... That's y I'm concerned. And is the size suitable for a petite girl? biggrin.gif

Yeah I know I need to take care of them... But I'm just clumsy tongue.gif

people need qwerty for the physical feedback of the keys,
since they can actually feel the keys, makes it easier for (some) people to type,
but nowadays since Swype is available on Android,
plus, there are plenty of other options of keyboards available,
personally I can live with the touch screen keyboard.
Not a lot of people know about the wide variety of keyboard options that is available for Android though,
due to the single option of keyboard of the popular iOS, people assume there's only one way to input text on a touchscreen phone.

if you're asking me about the size, of course IMO its not suitable for a petite girl laugh.gif
4.3" is huge, depending on your palm size, you might need to (almost) flatten your palm to place the phone on it,
though its a dream to use for people who wants bigger screen, for better internet browsing experience, and e-books reading.
yes, its true that its not really "HD" in terms of screen resolution and size ratio, it actually has less pixel per inch compared to Desire.
but the camera of DesireHD is truly better compared to both Desire and Desire Z.
also, the built in GPU of DesireHD can help perform better terms of gaming compared to Desire.

why not go to any phone shop and ask for a display/dummy unit to try them out yourself?

1. Brand. HTC (Thinking about Desire, Desire Z, Desire HD)
2. Budget. Of course the lower the better
3. Specs. (Dunno)
4. What you need in the phone
Use to browse web, listen music, play games (girly games not those guy games like shooting), GPS, take pictures. Definitely need flash. Use to view documents.

Just wonder if I really need Desire HD...
I like Aria a lot but the down thing is camera flash..

So I don't really know which to buy... Have been delaying for a long time to buy because I don't wanna spend money on things that I don't need. In actual fact I don't even know why I even wanna change phone...

Another thing is that I always drop my phone and stuff. So its important that the phone is tough so that I don't have to keep on repairing if I drop it.

Is HTC a must? If you don't mind using an acer phone, theres a new phone called the Liquid Metal with the same gpu/processor with the Desire Z. RRP only 1299. Screen size is 3.7 TFT iirc. Like phantomesh said, if you have small hands, holding a big phone like the DHD will be a hassle and most pants will not fit it.

Galaxy 3 is using Froyo now. Wildfire if you prefer HTC and the sense UI. Not sure if its getting Froyo in the future. LG Optimus is not recommended after the long history of LG's sucky phones.

acer Liquid Metal is a nice choice as the same processor is used in DHZ. You can also opt for Desire AP which is a bit old. Go for acer if you like the design or Desire if you like the Sense UI.
