In addition to bt14 area where there is New village existed since Zaman Darurat, there are more older settlement in Puchong but some of it no longer exist or in the midst of getting eradicated for eg:
6th mile - just before the bridge to Kinrara criss-crossing KEsas highway. Currently that wooden houses are in the midst of eradication.
11th miles - The current location of the Furniture mall & new shoplot in between IOI Mall & Tesco. - Landslides happened twice there and destroyed the whole kampung - Used to be a crocodile farm and one of the crocodile escaped and dwelled in Sri Aman lake b4 captures..The famous biggest captured buaya in malaysia.

12th mile- The area opposite wisma tractor & the 2 hindu temples & Rakan Muda complex...Now that settlement almost no more liao except the remained of old police station & the small mosque + few fugly shop houses & wooden shacks.
14th miles - New Village during Darurat - Famous Puchong Yong Tau Foo & Yap Chuan BKT.
After 1980 and early 90's new housing estates mushroomed started wth Tmn Kinrara, Puchong Jaya & thereafter Puchong Perdana.

http://ms.wikipedia.org/wiki/PuchongI did find a Puchong "New Village" (which has a former "Klang & Port Klang Omnibus (?)" depot) a little after Tractors and DHL (not 12th Mile, but I'm aware of its location; there is also an abandoned 1960s/1970s bungalow which compound was completely covered with rubbish). I'm assuming 6th Mile is the one where an entire row of shophouses (suspiciously) burnt down and has since been clear away for another shitty development project.
Thinking about it, Purchong Road does remind me of Cheras Road, except the former has been completely FUBAR-ed by modern development. It's now an unrecognisable, unlikeable mess. Sure, the place is more accessible now with highways, but in the process of doing so, the area is deprive of historical elements that would otherwise attract me to go there, turning into another run-in-the-mill, cookie cutter suburb.
