Actually more like late comers haha. Robert Kouk Group under Hillcrest already established & developed bt14 starting wth Maju Jaya area and tehreafter Puchong Utama phase 1 since mid 90's But they are very slow. When I bought my house during mid 90's, They already a plan for a Private Hospital, a condo tower & even a central park at that big land base. But Nothing happened and now, either the proposed Hospital or Condo tower becomes a MBA court haha

The bt14 place still very untidy of planning.

The developer plan cannot trust 1 lah. When sale time, got this and that. Later all different 1. That is why advise don't buy house facing empty land.

Yes, went on Sat. tried the curry mee with extra see-ham, received bowl with missing see-ham and prawns..so different from picture! Asked the staff attending and he brought me a bowl of 4 pieces of see-ham..later another staff said they were busy and prone to make mistakes...aiks? Paying RM9 for a bowl so if staff busy and forget not customer's problem...have eaten at best curry mee stalls all over Pg and they busier than this Penang One, and they never missed all the ingredients...maybe hiring Myanmar and Bangla is the reason.

Anyway, had their ice kacang which was one of the best in Klang valley, same like my old Swatow Lane ice kachang. Had their rice dumplings or bak chang, so-so compared to my usual haunt in Chee Chong Kai. Also wifey had Char Koay Teow which was late in coming..not quibbling as they say busy period (1:20-2:30pm) so expect a first-class CKT for RM8...aiyah, dissapointed, 3rd rated as color was not dark enough (Pg standard), no heong smell from the dish, so expect that lard was not used and temperature not hot enough! Tung Shing CKT in the same area serves better and they are not even from Penang!

The damage was RM38 after 30% discount for waiting, told them not to give discount...my fault for coming at wrong time smile.gif

The reason I went? Read and saw pictures in the Star written by blogger...will not trust those paid bloggers anymore...maybe Bangsarbabe can-la!

I went to Penang One for dinner.... here's my take
1. Asam Laksa was good, thick gravy (cos they used Sardine)
2. Cendol was good, except the cendol not "pandan" enough
3. Bak Chang was so-so. Not recommended
4. Chee Cheong Fun was OK, bit too much sesame oil
5. Duck Kuey Teow Thng was OK
6. They had my favorite drink "Guleng Peng". Too much ice
7. Portion wise: Small but expensive

Puchong town turning into Myanmar city...see many coffee shops serving Myanmar food, shops with sundry goods rom Myanmar. At least 90% are illegal immigrants so what are the immigration doing about this? Planning a Hari Immigresen or busy spending their salary increase?

I don't mind the Burmese actually - they seem to be a harmless, hardworking lot. I sometimes have mohinga for breakfast at a Ma Bo (the old one), and I'd be the only non-Burmese there!
