QUOTE(Galen Marek @ Nov 9 2010, 05:11 PM) hi guys sorry to bother you guys but anybody how to take public transport to damansara perdana from puchong jaya? Take some bus to Bandar Utama from IOI mall - I think it's the blue and yellow one, donno what lumber, or it could be some other bus. From Bandar Utama, there's an infrequent bus to Damansara Perdana.

The Tong Shin chakuetiau is not nice and over-priced, RM5.50 small, RM6.50 big. The liu is ok prawns and lapcheong, but the whole thing not enough flavour, no kick wan. They fry not the pale-pale penang style but the dark-dark KL-Taiping style. The prawn noodle also not nice.

QUOTE(pgsiemkia @ Nov 12 2010, 08:18 PM) Aiyoh dun like thatla...I see ppl exercising after 7pm everynite...sure got bizness one...they take ppl money for 1 year already..if chaplap, how? Kesian the cute sales staff...ha!ha! That area like very dark at nite, dunno developer dun pay street lights yet or what? Land next to GIANT probably gonna build some office block? The Banana Leaf rice shop at the end near the traffic lights are nice and reasonable...went there twice already..cannot go anymore or put on extra weight. Staff are friendly and courteous and sometimes you can see the local Indian underground there too.. but u dun kacau, they dun kacau u.... The curries are not recycled like SOME 24 hour shops..so I say go try once a while...nothing beats white rice with freshly fired Ikan bawal or fried chicken... Daytrime can be hot and dusty as most shops are still renovating like that Jap food shop.. har? jap food shop? means like sell things like kombu, miso, wasabi, udon, bonito flakes and stuff ah?

With the Sri Manja bridge now open, there are now some interesting eateries within spitting distance of Puchong folk. Quite a few people have blogged about the pork burger at Nambawan,.e.g. http://www.rebeccasaw.com/nambawan-cafe-ta...or-pork-burger/Here it is, just across the road from the entrance to Manja Court, a short distance from the bridge: N3 04.394 E101 38.866. The corner coffee shop, Fai Wong, has a wantanmin stall with chasiu to die for. Much better than the notorious Fong Lei, and best of all, the noodles are good, unlike Fong Lei's and the wantan is also good!

Wah, holiau. Went to Namabawan j ust now for lunch. The pork burger is really good. A thick, juicy, flavourful pork patty, grilled to perfection, served with chips and a small serving of salad. RM6.90. The roast bork pelly was also good. Highly recommended. They've got other western stuff on the menu as well including pasta with different sauces, lamb, beef, chicken and seafood in addition to porky stuff. Highly recommended liao.

QUOTE(Parrot @ Nov 24 2010, 09:58 AM) I'm having a hard time liking Puchong. All I find is a wasteland of modern shopoffices, terraced houses, highways and the occasional shopping mall. Where on earth is the original Puchong town/village anyways? Batu 14 there lah, the Chinese New Village.

QUOTE(stimix @ Nov 24 2010, 09:55 AM) Actually Not really closer to PJ. If the existing road to PJ oldtown via old puchong road without those traffic lights & jam, The distance from the Kinrara junction to PJ oldtown junction is actually nearer i.e 4.9km compare to the Kinrara-Sri manja>Sentosa>pJ oltown at 5.5km...sumore not forgetting the possible jam at Sentosa/OKR junction Aiya, Stimix wrong liao. This is the shortest route to Old Town, you make U-turn on the NPE, no need go Sri Sentosa wan: Poot poot even better. Near the Shell station at the far end of Jalan PJS 1/25 can go straight across to End of the World using the overhead bridge crossing the NPE and the railroad. You're on Jalan Pasar Old Town liao. QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Nov 29 2010, 11:47 PM) Lunch at Chi Ka Yin for 5 persons. Kind of over priced for such simple food. Been there done that. Servings are miniscule and prices high, nothing really outstanding in terms of taste. I notice there are a number of such outlets now in Puchong, including Taipinglang, which work on the same formula. Dress up the setting a bit, charge high prices, and give tiny servings. Stay away liao.
