This may sound silly but I want to hear you guys opinion about it. Is using those exclusive arcade joystick for playing fighting game actually enhanced your gaming performance a lot than using those basic d-pad/joystick? I had been using d-pad/joystick for playing fighting game recently and I kinda frustrated since I have hard time to pull precise movement for my character...and not to mentioned that my thumb hurt.
I am planning to get one for my Ps2/3 but I afraid that I might regret on it later. Just in case you are asking, I am playing 2d- fighting game.

QUOTE(esca_flo @ Jul 25 2010, 04:53 PM) Using Dpad can get ur thumb injured, the skin will peel off , that's my experience. So tried the madcatz stick I like it . Do you have the idea of how much is the range price for those stick?

Thanks for everyone opinion about this...I think I going to get joystick and see the difference.
I am not playing for competition. I just preferable to master stick so that next time I go to any arcade center, I can waste some time on arcade while waiting for someone or something.
I guess you can say that I also want to enjoy the "arcade" experience as well since I have none on it.

Plenty of sticks, and good players there. Maybe before you decide on a joystick, which can be quite an investment, check out the scene there. Guys are cool, and welcome new people. They could probably give you good advice, as well as help you get a good deal on joysticks should you go for one. Find out more and when next gathering is here: http://www.insert-coin.my/I wish I can go there but I am not living in KL..so it is quite impossible for me...anyways, thanks for the update...Haha

Finally got the arcade joystick and had been playing with it for 2 days and I have rather mixed feeling on it.
first of all, I have extremely hard time to pull normal move but then, in other hand, I can pull those complicated move easily and precisely which is something I can't never do it properly with D-Pad.
and it is extremely awkward to play with such a huge joystick at home..even my family member was like "wtf" when they saw me holding those huge joystick..Haha
