Yes, it's happening: During Capcom's Super Street Fighter 4 panel  at Comic-Con today, a trailer was shown off for Street Fighter X Tekken for PS3 and Xbox 360, the official name for the game pitting characters from two of the most popular fighting game series ever against each other for the first time.

The announcement came in what almost sounds like the promotion for an epic wrestling match -- the proceedings of the panel were suddenly interrupted (very deliberately, of course) by producers of the Tekken series, and this was followed by a trailer that made the game official (we should have some footage up soon). Evidently SSF4 producer Yoshinori Ono first approached Tekken 6 producer Katsuhiro Harada about the idea, since Ono heard Harada was a Street Fighter fan.

So the original rumor that "Capcom vs. Namco" would be announced wasn't quite accurate (obviously "Street Fighter Cross Tekken" suggests only characters from the Street Fighter and Tekken series will appear in it), but the rumor was correct that there will be two versions: One made by Capcom that'll play more in the style of Street Fighter, and one by Namco (called Tekken X Street Fighter) that'll play more like a Tekken game.

Really wondering can this be success...Street Fighter and Tekken really 2 different game play of fighting game. Tekken characters are prohibited to jump due to juggles. And Street Fighters are often encouraged to jump to start out the combos...And the blocking methods of Tekken I swear will drive Street Fighter players nuts, ahah~

alredi watch the demo gameplay for capcom style..so kazuya is going to hv ultimate like SF4..and also super power..and for the lulz of it..i dun think it gonna work out..SF4 more to combo and stuff..while tekken is juggling..so..6 button for tekken?? NOOOOOO!!

There are two games going to be made. One is Street Fighter X Tekken by Capcom, and the other is Tekken X Street Fighter by Namco.

The one you saw is by Capcom, and it will be basically Street Fighter 4 with tag team and Tekken Characters. Forget juggles, this will be a Street Fighter style game. Also, forget the commands you know for Tekken, it will be Street Fighter style.

Plenty of Street Fighter characters don't have projectiles or fireballs, and they do fine in SF. Capcom will also of course do their best to balance out the gameplay, making sure that no one becomes too dominant in the game (thought this can never be guaranteed).

For the juggling, I say wait for the Namco version.

both Street Fighter organizer (Shadowlaw) and Tekken tournament(Mishima corp) now already jatuh saham and out of money.So, in order to prevent bankruptcy, both of the organizers joint venture for next year tournament haha.

SF X Tekken is in good hands. Think of it as just Mega Alpha Street Fighter IV Zeta Tekken, Champion Edition    It's Tekken X SF that has people wondering. SF has always been 2D, even during the SF EX days. In a way the SF characters might feel nerfed, now that they have to play with 3D rules (side-stepping, small jumps, juggles, down attacks). I'm personally interested in seeing a realistic looking Blanka in 3D. The character art for SNK VS Capcom (SNK style) already had me intrigued!

so why post it here..unless got news for pc port
