Anyone using Huawei E5832S MiFi having Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) under Win7 64-bit?

The problem occurs recently when Microsoft release security update for Win7 64-bit. The problem affecting globally including my machine. Any solution (other than WiFi connection or downgrade to Win XP)?

You also suffer bluescreen of Death? I use my CSL modem online and there are about 3 times bluescreen this few days. I think Microsoft really needs to check 30 times before releasing an update. It is very annoying.

Hmmm.... so it also happens to other brand/model of data modem. So far the only solution is to connect my machine via WiFi to the MiFi devide. No BSOD at all. Looks like gonna wait for either Huawei or Microsoft to settle this conflict.

Already terminated my MiFi package. Total damage to get the MiFi device is RM310 (RM100 + RM210).

Now using the MiFi with my Maxis Unlimited package. Can FaceTime 24/7 ANYWHERE....

To those who are just planning to get just the mifi modem and uMobile coverage sucks in your area.

Just opt for the UB40 plan to go with your MiFi.

With it you'll get free 3 months and subsidized remaining 2 months..

Only 2GB but what the heck, I rarely even use the SIM with my other USB modem. Just as spare for my other lines.

RM310 for the mifi modem still cheap ma..

Free 3 months??? Sure or not....

coverage? where r u staying now?
Umobile covers whole Selangor areas, some areas of Ipoh and i just discovered umobile is expanding the coverage @ Penang mainland (i can enjoy it with full speed)

Not really "whole" Selangor. Some "REMOTE" areas township like Puncak Alam, Klang, Rawang, and the likes.... are patchy. Besides, I'm holding Maxis Unlimited dataplan which does not have quota/limit. For U68 package, after 10GB (if you are lucky...) they will capped your speed. So, I don't need the package. I just need the MiFi device.

My next task is to buy back-up battery(s) for this E5832S MiFi device... any seller...?

I'm totally confused. As far as I know, for U68, 1st five months is
RM68 - RM20 = RM48.

For U40, 1st 5 months is:
RM40 - RM20 = RM20

That's why I don't see FREE anywhere.

OIC. The RM68 advanced payment for U40 plan is accounted as part of the monthly bill. So, for U40, the first month bill should be:

RM40 - RM20 (rebate) - RM68 = RM-48

2nd month:
RM40 - RM20 (rebate) - RM48 = RM-28

and goes on...

Thanx for the clarifications...

Basically u can apply anywhere u see U-Mobile icon. But to be save, never apply thru kiosk or agents. They'll give u more headache than convenience.
