TP-Link MR3420. got it for RM90.
I just got it a few hours ago, gimme at least a week!
So far all I can say is it's easy enough to set up even for a dinosaur like me  tongue.gif
Signal strength is excellent, though my apartment is small so let's wait until I try it at my parents house which is twice as big. We'll see then!

Congratulation !
Everyone should use a router instead of just the 3G USB modem.
Because router can provide you with extra protection with it hardware firewall while 3G USB modem does not has a built-in hardware firewall.

Is it true that UM broadband's upload speed no more restricted to 50kb/s (0.05mb/s)?
I tried the speed test in Johor Bahru last week, and the upload speed i got is around 200 to 300kb/s. rclxms.gif
Last time test it in KL, but upload speed only around 50kb/s.
Anyone in KL can confirm? notworthy.gif
Thanks.

Hi everyone! U-mobile broadband start data roaming on Digi network already?
because just now use my 3g handphone seacrh network, it display two U-mobile 3G and one U-mobile 2G networks.
I assume when you use UM sim card and data roaming on Digi it will display Digi networks as U-mobile.

If this is true that this is a good news for every UM broadband user. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

I have some question for you:
1. How to search the network as you have said? A little bit rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif
2. Have you tried it?
3. Your location?

On my SE handphone, i select > Settings > Connectivity > Mobile Networks > Select Network ...and wait for few minutes
am now under Umobile3G coverage. So it is connected to UM's own networks.
When you are under Umobile3G coverage you can't force your phone/modem to roaming other networks.

Nope. Still Voice/SMS/MMS roaming only, and still on Celcom. Heard that EDGE data roaming, also on Celcom, is due very soon.

Too bad.....
News on Star dated Dec 4th 2010
http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?f...80&sec=business
PETALING JAYA: DiGi.Com Bhd announced that the domestic roaming agreement between its wholly-owned unit DiGi Telecomunications Sdn Bhd and U Mobile Sdn Bhd has been terminated yesterday.

But this particular batch of U-mobile SIM card I have - it will shows digi's networks as U-mobile networks. I try to connect to it but unable to connect.

Say I am using U-mobile prepaid voice.
In my home has U mobile 3G coverage, i switch on my Nokia 3G phone and it will connect to U mobile's own 3G network,
Than i drive car out to other area that does not has U mobile 3G coverage and my phone will show Celcom title - mean it is roaming on Celcom network.
Later I driver car back home but the problem is the phone still showing Celcom title although i already back to home where it has U mobile 3G coverage.
Anyone has this experience?
