anyone use umobile in utm skudai? i thought u mobile coverage is same with celcom broadband

but sadly its not covered on the map. but anyone here can double confirm speed in skudai?
*
who said so? umobile coverage's very poor at johor area. when there is no coverage, it will switch to Celcom roaming with additional charges.
im agree with celcom got widest coverage but also suckiest in term of performance. u know what i mean tongue.gif

note: switch to Celcom for voice & SMS. not other services. Also, since when got extra charges? same voice rate for all users.
umobile's broadband depends exclusively on its OWN 3G network. that's why coverage is limited.
my bad, what i actually trying to explain is broadband coverage. not voice and sms. i've heard when we use Celcom when there is no UMobile 3G network, celcom will charges us. correct me if im wrong smile.gif

i have confirmed with the @umobile018 CS few months back..
for broadband.. when no U 3G coverage u cant use the net at all... it will never roam thus there will not be any roaming charges

but for voice n sms... when no U 3G network.. they tumpang celcom 2G network with no extra charge  icon_rolleyes.gif
soon... they will tumpang on DiGi but dunno when will start..

all that we know after the celcom tumpang contract ended.. they will tumpang DiGi.. including data n broadband 2G (EDGE)

well said cruxidex and cybpsych, that cleared up my misunderstanding. thanks for d info smile.gif

funny thing here. my Umobile u68 plan shuld have ended on 3 August and now its 5 Aug and still on their network. note: prepaid UM with RM8 credit left(heavy user) & nvr disconnect from their network & running for  4 days straight, entering fifth by the time some1 reads this. Now just wondering, if i nvr dc means i can keep running ??? muahaha. Let's see how long it can go... The experiment ><
*
i really want to try that, but scared it will drain my credit sad.gif

actually speedtest is not that reliable. although im getting 'superb result' on speedtest, but the real speed can be seen when u download something. the highest download speed i've got so far is 400kbps++. never reach 500-600kbps as speedtest shows wink.gif

yeah, celcom vodafone also can. for maximum performance, use any unlocked modem that can support HSPA up to 7.2Mbps speed.

This service very very suck!!!!!!!

I just paid RM68 few day ago since they stated "unlimited", I'm RS premium user too, the download speed quiet satisfied...

but today... suck!! they limited my bandwidth to 512kbps!!!!

What the point i paid so much as stated in what they offer?? This is ridiculous!!!! Will never never use UMobile again!!!!
*
why bother with wireless broadband if u want truly unlimited? STREAMYX is the right choice for you. there is no wireless broadband provider that provide unlimited quota. clearly u dont really read T&C before subscribe. good luck mate rclxms.gif

i'd rather not using internet at all than painfully waiting my 350MB file to be finished in a.....2 days sweat.gif

of course it is fast. damn fast than any broadband out there except maxis. the only drawback by using maxis is their throttled speed is unacceptable doh.gif
last time i managed to used up all the quota before cooling period to test the speed before i decided not to continue their service. tongue.gif

MDMA is designed for huawei modems. e1762 works beautifullly.
FYI: New Mobile Partner UTPS16.001.06.01.500 for all Huawei modem dongle

Flasher: http://bit.ly/MP_16 (Rapidshare)

Standalone dashboard: http://www.mediafire.com/?jh812c9pb7zsh6a

Features: Multilanguage, USSD, Voice, MMS, and other plugins.
Latest Huawei driver version 3.09.03 for all Windows system.

Flasher and dashboard tested working great on E1762 biggrin.gif

p/s: The Connection History feature is nice. It tracks all your broadband connection data, including Streamyx (if the dashboard is loaded b4 connection is initiated). Not so sure if the data is accurate  sweat.gif

Added on Best feature: Integration into Windows 7's Network & Sharing Center

Obviously, the signal bar calculation is different than Mobile Partner's.
