Just sign up for the umobile broadband package UB40 wif the mifi device. Got some questions :-
1) how do we check the amount of the quota we haf used? did login into umobile self care but there does not seems to haf any record of the usage. If we cannot check the amount of data used it'll be very risky since the data above 2GB is charge by usage.. would be very expensive
2) i notice the Umobile mifi device : Huawei E5832 modem is charged by USB cable. Can the E5832 modem be plug into the Ipad2's 10w power adapter for charging or would it fry the modem?
3) where can we find the optional charger (5.3v, 650mA) as mentioned in the manual?

QUOTE(lj0000 @ May 4 2011, 09:06 AM) 1. call up help line to ask, or goto e5.home on your browser, under connection->advanced 2. yes. as long as any usb port. in fact it will be faster to charge. 3. http://www.adverts.ie/charger/mini-usb-wal...e5-e5830/261993Thanks for the reply. I;ve tried checking at 192.168.1.1 ..it does show the download flux ... but because i also swap sim cards from Maxis into the same modem wif umobile sim card... i guess it will show the cumulative and not precisely that of Umobile. 2. I check the huawei modem requires a 5.3v 650mA charger whereas the Ipad2 10W charger does not seems to have any indication of the output voltage and amperage. are all usb port power input & output standardised?

Anyone knows why..any possible reason why my laptop cannot see the umobile mifi on the wireless and yet can see other networks and log on other network. My iPad and phone instead can see the mifi network. Really puzzling...
