hows the performance for mini pro? any one care to give some review on it like battery life, performance, etc etc??

I read that both X10 mini & mini pro are unable to do so with factory/ori settings. Need a free 3rd party app for it. A quick search found this, hope it helps.

Got a hold of a X10 and a X10 Mini Pro. (No they're not mine. I'm just setting them up)

Observations:
-The skin SE has put over the Android 1.6 is actually not too bad. 1.6 may be getting a bit long in the tooth, but its still reasonably capable.
-The Mini Pro seems faster than the original X10. Not sure if its because of the smaller screen size. Transitions and gestures (or what passes for gestures in a none-capacitive screen) are smoother in the Mini Pro than the X10.
-Surprisingly the Mini Pro's slide out keyboard is very useable. I'm a person who can't do soft keyboards through, and this is the first Android phone with a physical keyboard I've used, and I like.
-Web browsing on the X10 is a real treat. The Mini Pro is passable as long as you stick to the mobile version of websites.
-Pictures taken in the X10 are really nice. Didn't have time to test the Mini Pro's through.
-The Mini Pro is chick magnet (at least in my place). Everyone who see's it goes "Eeee! So cute~!"

Downsides:
-Threaded SMS'es are still not as good as 2.1. I find it funny that 7 years after Palm perfected the art of threaded SMS'es, no one has come close (they must be sitting on one hell of a patent)
-Battery life of the X10 is horrible. If you're on a carrier that puts your on to WCDMA (3G), you'd be lucky to last a full day. Surprisingly wifi doesn't drain the battery as much as I expected.
-Didn't have time to test the Mini Pro's battery life.

just got it like 2 days ago. other than the battery issue, i am all happy with it~

Go for wildfire la bro.... dont buy this crap... from x10 then to x10mini... hehe.. later on x10 super mini...

haha... yeah... wildfire much better than an outdated phone. Plus Wildfire u will get official Froyo update which X10 pro only give u up to 2.1 only.

2. The latest version firmware and update for the phone? AP can update or not?

im using digi...
when my contact in the phone book i didnt save the +6 in front, den in messaging will appear number oni. no name wan...
den when i've saved +6 in front.... messaging will show name already but den the call history will only show number... no name....

any advise how to fix?

i got the same problem too.. let me know how to fix it.

either add the +6 yourself to all your contacts, or use alternative SMS app, like Handcent.

Or just wait for the 2.1 Eclair update.

hm... i've added +6 to all my contact.. the problem is... when ppl call in, it doesnt show +6, thus no name is shown too. stupid. will try the SMS app.

my x10 mini pro is ap set. I was told to bring back to shop and the seller will upgrade to 2.1 for me free of charge. not advisable to do at home if still under ap warranty.
I have trouble accessing internet when using maxis but no trouble at all with digi and I already download settings. anyone else have this problem?

i think it is freaking awesome. i installed it alre and loved it since then.

very frustrating not being able to connect to the internet with maxis. think i'll just switch to celcom or digi but keep number. I can swap my digi sim anytime and it connects easily.
