Greetings all,

I'm thinking of extending Astro Byond to a laptop instead of a PC with capture card. The only 2 ways I can think of
are these:

1. Astro Composite out/Component Out--->RF Modulator---->AEM Extra Link (via coax)--->USB Tuner Dongle
--->Laptop. (cheaper solution)

2. Astro Composite out/Component Out--->Wireless Extender--->USB Tuner Dongle--->Laptop.

Question is, anyone tried this before? Another TV would be easier but I'm scared the wifey wouldn't agree to
a 3rd LCD TV cry.gif

Thanks in advance.

If use Composite out/Component Out--->RF Modulator, you lost the HD picture quality already.
maybe get a USB video capture device with ability to capture HD video, use a long s-video cable to send the signal from Astro box to laptop.
one example of such video capture device is Aver HD capture station
