Date of transaction: 19/7/10

Details of the complaint : Linz claimed to have the Iphone and that she is currently in Singapore. She said she will mail the item from Spore after i banked in on Monday. I made 70% payment and after that day, she does not pick up her calls, no sms reply, no online msgs replies at all. She even switched off her phone most of yesterday.

She have a facebook account and even owns blog. That is the same name i transferred money to. Someone please help!

Last information i received, the person who owns the Maybank account says that she is not the seller. But she mpst definitely knows who is the one using her account. I just dropped her a message with request to either tell out who that is or she have to answer to this. Am waiting for her response before i dropped her name out here.

Any other guidance or advice on what to do?

have you report police on this issue ?

fyi, juz in case if things bcomes worst, make police report, then use police report to freeze the maybank account.

** what i meant was, show the police report when you complaint at maybank, they'll freeze the account.

The MBB account holder have full access of his/her own account or its already under conman control? Just ask her/him to fund you the money back.

This is the same address i put in FB as well and i am now checking with her. This lady's name is also Linz but she claimed the transaction was not made by her with me. She claimed alot of her friend use her Maybank account as well and that her friends use the name Linz too. I am checking if she have transferred the money to that so called friend or if the money still with her. Waiting for her reply. That was why i did not put her FB link her just yet. I have not made police report as i want to make sure i get the correct details. No point freezing this lady's account if she have transferred the money to her friend right?

And she said it is the same phone, it was a gift. And i confirmed many times. I even checked the serial number. She even said she will refund if it is not real. But now, no reply, no response. It must have beenthe same person then.



Now i am really sad. Should i make a police report now? She even pretended that this is not her account.

She may true mate.. no worry. i know her and her family. if u can read thoroughly, she did fully refund it.. she might true when she said some one using her account purposely, and she might not, i mean she would lie u. But the thing is, she did successfully full refund the money. Dont panic, and wait for her respond first. I also already msg her in her FB. Will update accordingly.

I received a msg back from Linz telling me not to disturb his friend (the Maybank account owner). Maybank account owner say "July 21 at 10:21pm Report
For ur info...almost all my friends know the password of my maybank acc..dont have money in there one..just for transit..i will give them the tag number if they want to transfer in/out..in this case, i know already who is doing the tranx with u..will check with him.. "

I am thankful that she say she will check with him and in the one and only message from Linz, i was told that he has been busy and will deliver it latest by Saturday. Unfortunately, he does not want to respond anymore messages nor pick up any of my calls. I doubt it is a case of Linz being busy with work since before i made the transfer, he was so free to send me more than 10 messages a day about the phone.

I have already requested the Maybank account owner to transfer the money back to me and i am just hoping that she have not given the tac number to him and he have not taken the money out.

Its most unlikely that someone exploit his/her maybank account. Internet banking is strictly personal. Which only means that perhaps, Linz indeed is responsible for the whole transaction. linz is in fact, a woman if you are wondering.

Maybank account holder say she will help to rush Linz. Linz are giving me excuses that he is based in Singapore at the moment and cant transfer the money back to me. I asked how he took the money out from the account then, he said he transferred to his account and take it out. He claim he does not have a Maybank account and can only transfer it this way. The weird thing is, he knows the Maybank account holder's sister as well. Athiyah if i am not wrong. Hope Apis_LuaLua can correct me if i am wrong. Coz he initially gave Athiyah's account number.

The Maybank account holder does not want to give me Linz's identity and i have not gotten any reply from Linz since last weekend. He said he is coming back Msia end this month. I have waited for 1 week since he last said he will transfer back to me.

Linz was angry that i am getting impatient in getting my money back. He made it sound like it was fun to cheat people out of their money. He took the money out almost immediately after i transfer it. And now is not making effort to transfer back to me. Apis_LuaLua, i do not know how he manage to transfer the money out of Amalina's account. Both of them didn't really tell me bout it. The Maybank account holder ask me not to report police coz her name will be involved. She say she knows the guys house and will chase him for me. She ask me to let him pay installment slowly. I told her, max 3 mths. She said OK, but she does not want to give me his hse address or anything. My friend say that maybe she is involved in this as well.. Some sort of scam to use other ppl's money for your own need then give them back slowly.

Yes you should if no reply from him. As an inspector told me before, police need to contact bank negara, so that they can get the account holder details, bank cnnot simply freeze an account just
by showing them a police report, this thing need to handled by police. When you are reporting this to police, please remember to print out thread details(if not yet closed), proof of payment(print the receipt). The rest is up to police

Coz according to her, the lady (also the Maybank account holder and the LYN account owner), this time, the transaction was not between her and me. It was her friend. And she plead for me not to make police report coz it will ruin her name.

lots of con case are like this, conman use his friend @ acquaintance banking account..not to be rude but this kind of people is the one who are indirectly helping the conman to do their job easier..which part is PERSONAL BANKING ACCOUNT that they didnt understand, whats the purpose of PESONAL if she giving it to her friends..

I made police report for more than 2 weeks already but have not heard anything yet. I was informed that they will contact her and get her to come up with a solution but i hear nothing till now. I will go and check at the police station again tomorrow.

About a week before Raya, i called the Inspector assigned for the case again. He say he is on leave until the 19th. Finally, his vacation is over now. I will continue to follow up with him again. I bet nothing was done yet.

Any update now? Police can't help much in your case. Write a letter to MCA (attach the photostat of police report statement)and said that all the police didn't do any action after alot of people have lodge a police report saying that they have been con. And after a long wait seem they didn't do anything. I saw a lot of LYN user here being con and they have their Bank account nos, IC nos and Picture. But the police didn't take any investigation and just keep on ask the victim to wait and wait..................until...............CASE CLOSE...

You must do something! Cannot just depend to police. They wait, You wait! All the Conmen keep on con con con out there like spreading virus.

Last time I bought a watch(Branded). I just wore it 1 week and the S.Crystal drop... My feeling just like..OH~GOSH so called branded. But the quality just like SHIT. I send it back to warranty, but after 3month I haven't get back my watch.

i am in the opinion that it would be best if you could reach her and talk to her to resolve this, since you know her personally.

This is really damaging to her, her family and moslem population as a whole.

Latest update: She contacted me last month after i told her i made a police report and tell me she will pay me when she have money. I told her to fix a RM200 amount monthly so that i don't have to wait so long. So much for that. Its pretty much another scam just to delay time off.

Early this month, i dropped her a message in FB and ask her if she have banked in. She replied saying i dare to push her somemore after i have included her name in the police report. I clearly told her that i already informed her before that i made a police report and will drop it once she finish paying. Then she replied she will pay whenever she felt like.

I really feel like contacting her family members and even her company. But i do not want to go over the border. Why mess with one's personal life if it is not needed? I am lost and do not know what else to do.

This inspector is always on leave. Not easy to catch him. I have some friends who knows her too and they were shock to hear bout it. I will contact the brother then.
