I submitted my very own Wordpress theme here and it was rejected, saying that my theme was not up to standard and doesn't meet their criteria. cry.gif

This File Did Not Meet Our Criteria

Thanks so much for taking the time to submit this template. Unfortunately, due to our current quality standards, your template has been declined.

This template is not aesthetic ready for TF and it will be very hard to be improved and get accepted. It required many improvements in term of design, visual hierarchy, typography, layout and its aesthetic quality.

Anyone sold their Wordpress theme here? Any advice?

[edit: This is the theme I submitted to them: http://newbiestent.webuda.com/ ]

i face palm when i look at your design.

come on la.

your color scheme already phailed.
menu nav ugly.

link so hard to notice. you put pink on red?

post title size not same size in single.php and index/home.php

text padding no good.

comment form is ugly. how come text area so far away form input.

your rainbow can easily done with background top right.

make the code shorter and semantic.

not only for you to understand. but for buyer to customize and use it.

learn more about design hierarchy, color scheme, grid, type
*
Thanks a lot. I can't believe I forgot about background top right. Anyways, i've been studying 960 grid system lately, going to try to implement it later. Thanks again.

one more thing. does it really matters if a webpage is W3C valid or not? Cause I see that big websites such as Google, Facebook are not W3C valid.

damn yes. it is a standard. all codes must be valid.

it is really easy. just make sure. once you open, you need to close it back.

Yeah i'm currently practicing XHTML 1.0 strict valid. even my site is valid but some of my friends are questioning "what's the point?". lol.
