Guys, i take the plunge to buy emergency charger from one of the forumer.The emergency charger cannot charge n900 initially but after some google-ing....i found a guide to modify the usb cable n now able to charge my n900.it's handy when u run out of battery but whether it posses any long term effect to n900 is unknown.USB cable modifying guide is as below.use it at ur own risk.

Buy a usb extender with male and female head and follow the guide below.
Code:

Code:

Red <------------------------> Red
Male White X cut and solder / White Female
Connector Green X insulate together \ Green Socket
End Black <------------------------> Black End

Good guide if you don't have a "DUMB" (power only) usb wire. As for me, chapalang CA-101/100 wires work just as well (only the cheap rubber they use a bit prone to splits), and I have multiple spares from my 2 USB battery packs.

Owh, and the short CA-101 wire works best with a battery pack velcroed to the back of your N900 - it's just right in terms of length.

And it would be fun if the output of that pack is written somewhere. Is it 500ma/5v (charges the N900 reallllly slowly) or 1000ma/5v?

it's written on the box Output 5v / 700mA
