i used sygic too.. but after the last format due the the LED not blinkin prob, Sygic wont work for me anymore.. i guess the Vers. prob..

will default to factory setting soon..

it is actually droid 2.....

Maybe want to expand my knowledge into android too. Testing testing
I already tried BB, symbian, maemo i guess its time for android. Got a good deal to trade in my phone

I like Milestone too, which looks a lot like N900 and it's much slimmer, my friend has one, it's nicely built and nice to hold, but too bad the specs is not as good, much worst camera and finally Android OS, I prefer Maemo OS despite its lack of those games. Plus, Maemo we have one and only Desktop concept, Conversations, great browsers, great media player (mplayer and extras codecs support, I can watch so many types of video files without converting; previously on Symbian, I need to convert using SmartMovie Converter to be played with Smart Movie Player), etc.

I just wonder will MeeGo be able to overcome all those above; One thing I thing MeeGo will looses out is the Desktop concept; from the demo videos, it seems we're back to HOMESCREEN style where there will be dedicated place and space for us to put our widgets, icons like any other smartphone OS. Seems no more flexibility like Maemo where we can customize out Desktop as we like, widgets of different sizes, even customize the widgets (e.g. the powerful Queen Beacon widget), etc. Everyone can have unique Desktop design and even customize many other things.
If it's true, it's kinda hard to believe something this advance will be no more and back to old HOMESCREEN style.

after using your n900 for browsing / gaming / hacking / showing off / capturing photo / video / etc - your n900 swap usage will skyrocket. this guide is to bring the swap usage back to regular values - like a freshly booted system.

close down all your applications.

open x-term

sudo gainroot assuming you have rootsh installed

free

it will show the amount of used swap - this is your default swap startup value + extra used swap

swapoff -a

it might come out with error message, just ignore

free

make sure it shows swap 0 - no swap in use.

swapon -a

it might come out with error message, just ignore

free

make sure it shows swap 7xx,xxxMB, used = 'default startup value'

you have cleared and optimized your swap.


works best in conjuction with my swappiness 0 guide previously.

meaning 0 swap is used after i run these commands, everything is working from RAM.

none of these commands make any permanent changes to the system. if it does not work or give low memory errors, just reboot the machine and it will reset everything back to normal.

if you run many start-up applications and widgets, this is not a good thing. it will not help much and probably just reset your widgets and cause errors causing reboot.

but it should work fine after a reboot no matter, since its not permanent.

Added on August 31, 2010, 12:22 pmI need get rid of this N97 before the value drop too low or else the cap of losses will be too high to bare. I dont really like Motorola milestone its too big. The motorola X720 specification wise and overall its quite similar to Nokia N8 even comes with HDMI output. Just want to try out android and see what's the crappy fuss is all about?

no...for every 1st shot the quality is good...2nd & 3rd shot quality is blur...like pic i post before...
