QUOTE(Gouki @ Jul 22 2010, 12:30 PM) coz some fren use the n900 for review before~ and his opinion is that the n900 not that great due to lack of support~ Usually if u are not sure its best to get iphone or android. Because everyday ppl will brain wash u here and there.now i am undecided~ Its like u have a sniper rfile. If u do not know how to use or handle the sniper rifle is useless cant even kill anything. If u pass it to a professional they can even kill someone from a mile away or even at close range. Good luck mate. This just my opinion no offense. I got n900 and have no regrets even i have an iphone now This post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Jul 22 2010, 01:14 PM |

QUOTE(Gouki @ Jul 22 2010, 01:15 PM) so most of the apps and supports are from http://talk.maemo.org/ only? Actually i have zero experience in maemo or even linux too. Because i get n900 not because my friend say whether its good or not because i know whats N900 is capacble of.Added on July 22, 2010, 1:18 pm ah, thing is i dun have the chance to play with a unit of n900 now~ so i not sure how this maemo5 is like~ i may not be as geeky like u guys here on this n900~ but i am an engineer graduate~ just that~ i have stop into gadgets for sometime so a bit blur on maemo5~ First decide what you want by deciding what the purpose you are buying for. If stop gadget for a long time better get iphone because Maemo is for more advance user. if u expect for super graphics, alot of games and etc etc u wont find it here. If u looking for exploring, testing new application, customizing, hacking, cracking, have something different Nokia n900 is for u |

QUOTE(Gouki @ Jul 22 2010, 02:06 PM) glad to hear that~ thats my purpose of having a secondary mobile device for 3G mobile internet~ phone calls will still be on my n86 on maxis line~ If i start showing u everything its better i charge u a fee i do a manual with photos for you, summary, bar charts of device comparison, List of tasks n900 capable to do vs other devices, start up a chat room to answer every question. hehe right or not. Please understand we are users not sellers even shop cant give u info as detail as us.after i read up some review~ the n900 looks good for mobile internet~ but my concern~ how is the n900 future support? flash 10.1? and etc? Added on July 22, 2010, 2:07 pm bro~ u repost twice~ i dont quite get what you trying to show~ i dont see the 3rd party apps or chinese typing in the printscreen~ The screenshot is to show u the n900 homescreen only. After u get the n900 u might have other complains like where to get this where to get that. Thats the time to ask. I think if u do this to a shop even the shop wont entertain you. Hope you understand its like you go to shop ask 500 questions then later buy something else do u think the shop be happy? Buy it then they will be willing to answer all your details question before buy are summary details. Same like us buy it then only ask detailed question or else u keep coming back tell us your friends telling u something else is better I am not trying to be rude but i just want to be honest Just my opinion This post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Jul 22 2010, 02:47 PM |

QUOTE(cloud8318 @ Jul 23 2010, 12:40 PM) ok..i try it first...hope won't loss the save file..another cramp thumb for stage 2 and 3 dont think so u can use BB sim on n900 because no one specify n900 support BIS/BES.i decide to purchase another phone for only phone call....leave the N900 for internet, so my question is can i use digi BB sim card at N900, i already try put Digi BB sim card in N900, but can't connect, how the setting? possible to use BB sim at N900? Note: cos i already have Digi BB Explore 10GB, not worth getting another BB plan, planning to switch the BB sim card between PC and N900 N900 only support GPRS, EDGE,3G and 3.5G Added on July 23, 2010, 2:37 pm QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Jul 23 2010, 01:53 PM) I don't know about DiGi Broadband but when I tested Celcom 3G,all I have do was insert the sim card & I was able to surf internet. No settings whatsoever required. because the setting already stored in your sim cardThis post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Jul 23 2010, 02:37 PM |

QUOTE(Andy214 @ Jul 23 2010, 05:22 PM) Make sure the WiFi has Internet access. If confirm have, make sure your N900 is connected successfully to the Wifi and able to obtain IP address. If able to obtain IP Address, need to make sure the DNS server is obtain successfully. i am using pixelpipe share with tinypic thats why for me to upload photos to the internet is so fast. Select photo and just share services. To put it simple, after you confirm you have connected to the WiFi, try to go to google website, if not able to load, means there is no internet access or fail to obtain access. You want to upload picture to facebook? If you're using latest firmware PR1.2, it's built in. Firstly, you need to add the account in the Settings-->Sharing accounts. When viewing the picture, there is a SHARE service, click on it and you can share via Email, Bluetooth, and Service. From the Service, you can select the accounts which you have set. By doing this way, you can even upload videos, etc. If depends on the user and how you use. I for one, hates format, so I hardly format my PC, I think already many years I never format. The most also I do restore or reinstall, never format as I hate to do backup of all the files in the hard drive, etc. If there is problem, it depends whether you know how to fix, e.g. cleaning spywares, virus, etc. The easy way of course is format. I opt for manual cleaning. In short, it depends on the user, how you use it, what you install, etc. I didn't format my N900, only update the firmware. When there is lag, usually you just need to restart your PC or device so that the memory is released. When the virtual/swap memory is used, it will cause lag/performance issue. Most of the time, it is due to this and a restart will do the job for you. Immediately i go to tinypic website and login i have my photo resize and ready to be posted including [img] tag Added on July 23, 2010, 5:32 pm QUOTE(MT-MT @ Jul 23 2010, 05:17 PM) Thanks, i solve tis problem..how abt the mobile facebook problem? the difference between n97 and n900 is n97 need an app to access facebook to use its application when n900 u can direct access www.facebook.com . If u want to use the full facebook website u need download userhideagent from app manager. Then use firefox string and facebook website will detect your n900 as a browserJust Get my N900 last nite at RM1300, i trade in my N97 which use less than a mth.. For me, N97 is bit lag, since i'm impatient ppl. N900 is out of my expection fast , especially is resistance screen.. enjoy it now This post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Jul 23 2010, 05:32 PM |
