QUOTE(Voonz @ Mar 2 2006, 03:18 AM) well.. the game requires you to explore. The explorations themselves are part of the quest and of course, you get to kill stuff on the way there and complete your quest. There really isn't anything to farm for and mobs don't respawn after a while, unless you leave the area/instance and re-enter it.You can't really SOLO in GuildWars. Mobs will own you. I hope I got that right... hehe |

QUOTE(tanleeseng @ Mar 7 2006, 04:02 PM) Hi guys... Me and my friend are looking for Malaysian guilds in Guild Wars due to the fact that the current guild we are in mostly made up of US player hence there is the time difference problem (3-6 am in the morning I've edited and added the names of players (that I know of) into the first post, check there for a list of names or copy and paste 'em and keep the list moving. I'll update it as often as I can. Thank You. (P.S. Best time to contact us will be on Saturday/Sunday morning (P.S. Sorry for the wrong posting but the forum is kinda confusing for me |

I think Assasins are a bit like Rangers. They need preparations. Rushing off into combat just like that would usually just get them killed. I'm not really sure what's their damage output but I think that they're quite high too. They're quite an interesting class to play, same goes for the Ritualist. I think GW did a good job releasing those two classes. Really looking forward to getting Factions. Maybe not when it's out but sometime down the road.

QUOTE(kwh1989 @ Apr 17 2006, 10:34 PM) though i dun actually like the part where u cant go out to lvup wif other player in the same map. u only hav ur own map to go unless u go wif a party. in my opinion this is the only downside of the game tht dun really can make it consider as an MMORPG. is more like a RPG Good points and bad stated by Koross, I'd like to add that sometimes, it's frustrating to be queing up just to kill one mob boss to complete your quest. With GuildWars being a PvP based-game, it'd turn into another DAOC or Shadowbane with free for all PKing for sure... which can be quite fun and interesting.I do agree that sometimes, it can get quite lonely running around exploring. One thing that sort of pisses me off is that each time, for the first time you change instances / map, you need to download something (map, textures, etc?). While the rest of the party which might have played that area before loads up the next map almost instantly, you end up still waiting for that download to finish and once that is done, everyone in the party would have gone off to the next map or fought their way up front. QUOTE(Koross @ Apr 17 2006, 10:47 PM) Well instances have its good and bad sides. The good side is you are not in contest with other people for a drop, monster, boss or what have you. People can't come in and bother you unless they are already in your party in the first place. The bad side is that the world feels less 'real' since you dont interact with other random people in the out of town areas, towns feel overcrowded and if a party member disconnects, you have to go back to town to grab him into the party again where the monsters have respawned. In DDO, the monsters don't respawn (well not all) if at least one of the party members are in the instance. If a member is disconnected, he stays in the party and reappears at the same place where he disconnected. Perhaps, we might be seeing this in future patches for GuildWars? So it has the good and its bad side. Personally, the good points outweights the bad. |

I only experienced lag when tmnet's scremyx has problems... if their service is up and running, no lag and mobs suffer the wrath of my bow!
