Yes. With the new xbox update you can install your games on a thumbdrive.

anyone tried US GOTY ver, installed all of the expansion pack into the HDD on a US console
then plug the HDD into the asian console, is the expansion playable?

since GOTY is only release in US and it's region locked, and buying expansion pack one by one is bloody expensive here, will this method work?

if yes, then it will be a cheaper method for us gain access to the expansion pack

Well it maybe possible. It's something like borderlands add on where you use the disc and install the add on. If it's the same concept for fallout 3, then should be possible.

The DLC (expansion pack) should be around 3gb or less. Get a 16gb pen drive. It's cheap now around RM80.

Copy or move the whole game content + save games + DLC from HDD to USB. Also move your profile to the USB.

Go to this website:- http://digiex.net/computing-section/guides...mory-stick.html.
Follow the instructions but do not use the "downloaded title update". Instead go here to get the correct title update:- http://marketplace.xboxmodder.com/. Select the NTSC/J version to download to use.

Make sure to dismantle your HDD temporary to play the game. After finishing the game if you want to play others located in the HDD, then move your profile back to the HDD. Don't why it would not allow to copy profile while the rest can be copied.

For latest dashboard software:- go to System settings > console settings > system info should shows dashboard setting 2.0.9199.0.

It works for me.
