Guys is there anyway to save more battery life other than switch off 3G, and wifi?

I find that the Battery life dies rather quickly if it's been fully used..

I tried switching off 3G this morning from 6.30am till now 5pm still have 92%.
Just used for call and mail checking.
Previously I on 3G it will become around 40% left at night 8pm.

hi, i need your help, before i got my eye on desire as i didnt know the hardware of SGS, but now i kinda in dilema again to choose between SGS and desire so i got a few question hope someone can answer

1. is SGS harder to root than desire? / dont have much tools to root? or it all the same as desire?

2. i dont like the UI of SGS very much (kinda like iphone), if i root SGS, can i install rom that have HTC sense? and will i get all the apps such as sync the facebook picture with contact?

3. do you guys have any jealous anything that desire have and you dont? (beside the camera flash)

thank you

I own a htc magic before and after updated with the official ROM from HTC to have Sense I can't root it anymore and stuck at 1.5. I don't know why people think Sense is nice but I found it has some issue also. It did show a nice UI for mail and messages but once the no of message increase, it lag like hell.
For eg. SMS, when you have a lot of SMS when you tried to delete you need to wait for about 10 seconds to get it refresh.

For SGS you can use Laucher Pro and customise as you like. Even there are a lot of widgets looks like Sense you can find.
Have you check the HD recording quality SGS has? Have you check the benchmark performance comparison SGS with Desire?

With Digi, just go to the SIM toolkit and select Mobile Services
It will then ask whether you want to download the setting.
Just wait for the setting and save the configuration
