Hey Guys,
I'm just got a new HDD to replace my old HDD. My new HDD is the Primary (WinXP) while the Old HDD is using as a spare - unformatted. The problem is, some of my files are not inside there(Old HDD). There is only the old program files that is listed inside the old HDD but not my pics or songs.
I was wondering whether it got to do with the previous windows which i used USERS with PASSWORDS to log in to My Documents?
GetBackData will work for me?

QUOTE(Hiwatari @ Apr 25 2008, 12:44 PM) well...u did mentioned that old hdd unformatted so jz boot using the old hdd n move ur urgently needed files to some place where all users can access(partition w/o OS should b gud enuff) edited: oh btw, getdata is a recovery s/w...say u accidently lost ur data due 2 4mat n so on. but in ur case, data is still there...jz not accessible due to user restriction...so no need s/w...n no need 2 worry of losing it AND YA, I've one more thing - that is, I've also changed my MOBO, PROC and RAMS into new one. Kept the old HDD, CD ROM only. So, basically it's a new computer. So How am I going to boot the old HDD? and I'm not sure how to boot to the old HDD. Is it: the F8 button before windows Logo or Do I switch the cables inside the PC? your reply and help is much appreciated.
