QUOTE(bluephoenix87 @ Jul 19 2010, 01:02 AM) Exactly... And sometimes, Malaysians need to see which party is suited to run the country at that point during the elections... You cannot just simply vote for the same party just because they have been running or doing a good job... Well I also feel malaysia is quite unchanging because the same party rules every year and they do the same things. There is no improvement. As far as I see, there is only backward running. I mean our tax money has always subsidized the daily products we use. Suddenly they say Malaysia will bankrupt. Seriously, we earn more now. If we should go bankrupt we should have bankrupt 20 years ago. I also find it disgusting and stupid when government compare us to Myanmar & Laos for some things while compare with US & UK for irrelevant things... If always do this, then, the country automatically losses its competitive nature... You always need to compare with what's in front of you in order to progress... They will always say that the public will be pampered and are spoil because they demand things but what they don't realize is that, everyone in Malaysia is trying their best to make this a better place, and therefore deserve to demand a better life... Everyone wants a better life as easy as possible... That's the whole point of being a developed country... Something the CURRENT government can't never understand... lol! Wow... I go missing a while and u turn gay... lol! Also, if everything keeps changing and becoming better, then corruption and all that inequality crap will be harder to stick around which massively benefits everyone. You should also notice how our ministers refer to Malaysia as "multi racial country" or "Islamic country" whenever it suits them best. Our current Govt wants to be Govt forever right. ~.~ If things change it will be harder to continue things the way they easily do now. They may actually have to WORK then. |

QUOTE(bluephoenix87 @ Jul 19 2010, 01:17 AM) Yeap... If the country were efficient, then, all those crap will be significantly reduced... Talk about reducing subsidies, but corruption is still high... UNNECESSARY MEGA PROJECTS also should cut down, focus on more important projects like at least "Maintaining" the public transport... lol! Do you also notice that whatever they said about making the govt's actions more transparent to the people so they know where it's going has suddenly poofed and disappeared since election pretty much ended? They can't be government forever... Every time a type of power or authority overstays or there's a desperate need to change, you'll find that a "revolution" has taken place by force... lol! Newton's theory, "for every action, there's an equal amount of reaction"... lol! a quick light kiss... either on the cheek or the neck or lips... lol! By mega projects you mean the 800 million they're spending on another istana for our Agong? Which is pretty crappy IMO. We have fixed amounts of raja and sultan and agong. Each of them already have their own istana. Apasal wanna waste space and waste tax money for the enjoyment of ONE person. A coup de tat is a hard thing... Everytime they are losing 2/3 votes they start bringing up May 13. We all know what really happened. No govt should be on forever. How is it democratic if the same govt runs for 50 years. You win some you lose some. You can't wear the same shirt for 50 years. Time and style changes. QUOTE(Kampung2005 @ Jul 19 2010, 01:18 AM) As in u think the govt shouldn't support us? |

It'll become like the old KTM story again... lol! Yesh agree. Just like our zoo. Smelly and dirty and some animals and enclosures in poor condition. Some more wanna ask for panda from China.Plus, there are other areas in the country that needs trains, or at least the monorail or tramps... But the government sacrifices these things to subsidize golf-carts... |

QUOTE(Kampung2005 @ Jul 19 2010, 01:28 AM) The government should instead encourage free market, increase productivity, making conducive environment for foreign investments, retain talents etc... Just talking about foreign investment, that is so doomed... You know the government limits foreign investment and plus they bring down local investment by not giving them privileges that foreign investors enjoy. Wage increase is based on CPI (at least in other countries).... Goods price in Malaysia should follow the world... We need better reporting of CPI for urban and rural areas to gauge more accurate situation of inflation. Cost structure must be changed. Subsidies mask the real economics. Subsidy should go to health, education and public transport as those are public service. They need to subsidize our daily products because it affects all Malaysians and also because they don't control price inflation well. When sugar, salt, oil or petrol price raise, everything's price raises. When the goods prices come down, those raised prices don't. It is not a waste of every citizen benefits from it. Problem of lack of funds for health, education and and transportation is caused by crazy projects that don't benefit everyone, like the Agong's istana. can you imagine the good it will do to put 250 million into each of those 3 sectors instead. Malaysian govt should not cut money from here and there. They should just spend the money they have wisely on what to invest. |

QUOTE(bluephoenix87 @ Jul 19 2010, 01:34 AM) Yeap... During elections, they'll talk about transparency & 1Malaysia, post-election increase commodity prices and blame subsidy or convert maths & science to BM or English, near elections, they'll tar the roads & upgrade some busses plus give some minor handouts... The english re-convert for maths and science is positively stupid! I mean, when you go to college all your books will be in english that is more complicated then those you have in school. Yes the malay students will suffer for a few years for those who find it hard to catch up. so extra tutorial hours should be given to those who need. They will need it in college anyways. It will benefit other rising students in school when they get used to the system. Many of the english batch students did so well. Not just the Istana... so many others... Remember PKFZ??? The list goes on... lol! We are blessed in one way... We don't have to talk about Coup-de-Tat... We have elections... We can kick them out easily... If they bring up May 13, the people will be smarter this time... Of course there'll be some idiots stupid enough to fall for them, but it'll have minimal effects... Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice, shame on you... lol! Plus, like I said, if people vote Pakatan in, but gov refuse to give up, the people will take matters into their own hands... Nobody can avoid it... Its part & parcel of political process... You know that during elections we have ghost voters right? Plus there are thousands of unregistered Malaysians who refuse to vote because they feel that the effort is a waste and futile. QUOTE(FatalitY @ Jul 19 2010, 01:36 AM) elise? again?QUOTE(bluephoenix87 @ Jul 19 2010, 01:40 AM) Even you are saying "Should"... lol! Oh ya that case! I remember there was another where a chinese couple held hands and kissed (lightly) in KLCC. They were forced to marry and fined. like syariah law. Weird thing is I see foreigners doing PDA at klcc and nothing happens. But the government is subsiding golf-carts... lol! Actually, its not like that... Current estimated cost = RM 800 million Actual cost = RM 1.6 billion Planned ceremony cost = RM 400 million Actual ceremony cost = RM 800 million Total Estimated cost = RM 1.2 billion Actual cost = RM 2.4 billion Reported in paper cost = RM 400 million I remember reading in paper once where a secondary school couple holding hands at KLCC were fined RM 300... It was part of KLCC management's plan to reduce PDAs at KLCC... A plan which they later quieten down... lol! Yeap... Plus increase the cost of Milo Ais to RM 10... lol! |

QUOTE(bluephoenix87 @ Jul 19 2010, 01:44 AM) Not only that... When they reduce subsidy and not expenditure, what amuses is that the money doesn't cycle back to the public... You find that the rich get even richer... lol! Government spend RM 4 billion for PM's department... Imagine that kind of budget for an office... QUOTE(yeelin04 @ Jul 19 2010, 01:45 AM) ughhh..i hate him now... O.o woah who make you wait. Don't stress.for making me wait for the pics n reports.. n i am stuck cant do my post modems n report!!!!! QUOTE(FatalitY @ Jul 19 2010, 01:47 AM) I wonder how long will this debate keep going on. We dare to post in forum and say it among our friends, but I don't see many people daring to head on with the government to show them who they should be afraid of. The thing is, we are allowed to debate, but we can't make ourselves heard. It's not like we haven't heard that dissatisfied people should get lost. "lu tak suka you balik ke China la". They treat us like foreign scum only when it suits them |

QUOTE(bluephoenix87 @ Jul 19 2010, 01:55 AM) Yeap... Biasa la... lol! This is why I lol'ed when the govt keep saying that their good labor of educated people all migrate forgetting their country of origin. It's not like we get a lot here. Why not migrate? And obviously they migrate because they are offered a better life there. Do anything, ISA in action... lol! Post modems??? apa tu??? Cannot... Must discipline... lol! But it was doing well under Ong Tee Keat I thought... lol! They are, just that it takes time... Only our generation of people can do it... Not our grandparents or parents because it is only feeling the pinch... Our parents do/did feel it, but they are able to bare with it as they realize at that time, they don't have much choice... Now Malaysians can opt to migrate, seek better opportunity, or run their own business, make demands and are more aware of what's going these days... Sooner or later a change has to happen... Whether people like it or not... Its a normal political process... lol! Actually, I don't give a shit about what langguage it should be in... If the goverment really wanted to solve the problem, all they had to do is come up with English-medium schools... Problem solved... lol! Malaysians are always awe-struck when they see white folks... Don't know why... They become different when talking to them... Lol good solution that won't happen. That's the thing. Malaysians wanna be like white folks but then they are also advised white culture is bad. Thus in bahasa melayu we have a term called "budaya kuning" for them. QUOTE(FatalitY @ Jul 19 2010, 01:56 AM) The minute they re-converted the syllabus to English, it was already a bad mistake. Why? Simple. How many of the students are even scoring a good result for simplified...I repeat...SIMPLIFIED english? And when we're talking about changing scientific names into english, I am very sure most of their head is pretty jammed and overclogged after trying to process what cell/biological name is the book refering to. Actually... What you said about people voting is futile is because we've lived in the blanket of stupidity made by the government for years since Mahatir was producing Proton. Ever since then, when there's no signs of retaliation by the people/nation, the greed is fed and they become basically 'invulnerable'. Money rules, that's the law in this world. So, if the wicked has the benjamins, they reign with power. Money=power. Don't believe? If I were to bribe a random guy RM100K to side the government, and if he continuously support the government and be their meatshield, every month, his/her bank will be filled with money if 5 figures or more, would you think that man will still say " sorry, i won't?" There are millions of us, yet how many of us are standing for our rights in Malaysia compared to those who lives in fear and thinks that the government will feed them forever? In comparison, my brother's english was slightly below average. He was the first lucky batch who learned chemistry and stuff in English. When he went to college, he did not struggle. He only needed to build on what he already knew, like normal studying. And of course his english became a lot better and now his english is on the same level as mine due to the english education. So in a long term the students would benefit from the english syllabus because they are already equipped well with what they knew without the need to convert and again make sense of things. QUOTE(bluephoenix87 @ Jul 19 2010, 01:59 AM) BTS??? lol! Lol, I mean A LITTLE better than us. I mean, you can give them a proton saga, you can give them slightly better cushioned chairs, but don't give them 4 million for an office. It's not like anyone else can go in and use it anyways. They shouldn't make the gap between the working class and the ministers THAT far apart.Your testosterone levels are high tonight... lol! I'm not saying they are not entitled to privileges... But seriously, 4 billion for an office, government office somemore, that's too much... they probably inflate the price of photostatting papers in their budget... from 10 cents to RM 10 per paper... |

But there's something so great about choosing a person, finding out the person is perfect for you. QUOTE(FatalitY @ Jul 19 2010, 02:19 AM) So do I actually, but how many of us are considered above average? I consider myself just hanging by a thread. Yet to many, I am pretty good. I don't think this is the standard that anyone of us wanted, but thanks to the government liking their bahasa so much, it spoilt the standard. I am not saying that it is wrong to love our own language, but making it such a big hoo haa and degrading English so much and not pushing young ones to learn to speak multiple language? We're not the only country in the world. Yet the government thinks we are. So much for being a multi racial country right? They should know that the more they force us to love it the more we don't. Love isn't something you can force.QUOTE(bluephoenix87 @ Jul 19 2010, 02:20 AM) Porn??? Exactly!! I think all those who migrated did a good thing! Anlene??? I tot for old ppl... not babies... lol!
