Hi guys wanted to ask,

My dad subbed a RM38 384kbps package last year November for me to use, I ve tried multiple times to upgrade my line to either 1MB or 2MB if possible 4MB. TMpoint rejected my application saying uni pack isn't allowed to change speed...Is this right? I ve talked to them for a very long time and they didn't entertain me, telling me that uni pack isn't allowed to modify speed.

I am stuck with 384kbps and annoyed as hell at the moment with a contract bonded for 2 years and not allowed to upgrade the speed.

Taipan TMpoint, I live in USJ Subang. Has anyone experienced this or anyone could help me regarding this?

Actually, different TMPOINT will give the different answer to you...
They seems not having a some kind of "standard" regarding their services...
Maybe you can try to go to another TMPOINT and asked them to "change" your speed from 384 to 4Mb....

Very sure that it can be done because many of us have got the speed changed.

They let you changed from Uni pack into another 4mb Uni pack for 4MB for RM88??

The first time I went (Last year December), they freaking told to me come back next year because of current upgrade is closed, need to wait until next year or whatever blah blah.

I went again this year February to upgrade my line and they rejected saying my line isn't allowed for upgrade and some-more I pleaded many times, the guy went and talked to his boss after 1 hour (sat there wait for an hour..great) came out told me I can upgrade to "standard" package only that cost RM88 for 1MB, and require me to present the student ID etc (it was registered under my sister since shes pursueing her degree in college) and it will take 1-2 weeks...what the hell...

I actually didn't ask about price. I just signed the form and get it done. Lets see how the bill would be later on.

I'm not sure. The technician switched ports before coming to my house. Then he comes to check SNR. If it's okay, he would use my house phone to make a call to TM to perform the upgrade. He will leave once the speed is confirmed upgraded.

The technician came to my house on Saturday evening.

No... for Streamyx HSI (High Speed Internet, which is 2Mbps and above), the technician MUST come to your house to check the condition of your line...
If your line are not qualified for HSI, like SNR Margin is way too low or Line Attenuation is way too high, they will cancel your upgrade immediately.

Your SNR Margin must be more than 15dB while line attenuation must be below 40dB

You can directly deal with the technician for the installation appointment...
