Philosophers and fertility experts can rest easy as the age-old question, “Which came first, the chicken or the egg?” finally has an answer: The chicken. The research comes from British scientists out of Sheffield and Warwick universities. It all boils down to one protein—ovocledidin-17 (OC-17)—that is only found inside a chicken's ovaries, and is essential for eggshell formation. Although the protein has been studied as part of eggshell development before, researchers used a super computer to ‘zoom-in' while a shell was forming, and found that it actually serves as a catalyst. Sheffield Professor John Harding hopes that this will aid in designing new materials. Well, that's one mystery solved. But still no word yet on the meaning of life. Wait, are we assuming the evolutionary or creationist viewpoint at the start of the cycle?

Carbon formation helped formed life so no need to understand how a chicken is formed, but now who the hell created these carbon

Just look at the beginning of life and thats the answer, single cell bacteria formed primitive physiology and the egg is only a method to reproduce.
It is a very shallow question in scientific terms, before there are male & female, the physiology change sex to reproduce, the process has been refined by generations and the state of evolution to date is categorized into Mammal, Reptile, Amphibian...
If you continue to ask this question, it means you have no knowledge of evolution, go tell people to stop insulting themselves.

If GOD is the creator of universe... Your parents is the creator of you...

Cat & kitten... which comes first? Dog & puppy... which comes first? So, based on thread #1 and evolution theory, the chicken somehow evolve in having egg to keep the chicks...

Well, imho, all these are just theories and they don't really imply much... its more like a fun, guessing game hehe Yea, somehow evolution has "rendered" the 1st "chicken" to be able to lay eggs.... and since they have been laying eggs all this while, perhaps we can say that egg-laying is quite fit for the Galus sp.to survive. "Survival of the fittest" applies here I think hehe
