You are comparing the outgoing flagship model (at least in Malaysia) from Toshiba with the "just coming" entry model from LG.

From the specifications point of view, the LG overwhelms Toshiba. LG 100K contrast versus Toshiba 50K. Toshiba panel response speed 7 ms seems pretty slow to me. I don't know the spec for LG though.

But looking at the picture quality, Toshiba gives a softer and more natural looking colours (or is it just my perception?) In my opinion, LG gives a sharper and brighter picture. At the end of the day, trust your own eyes to decide, which is better. If you do not trust your own eyes, bring your wife (or your mother, girlfriend or sister) to the showroom. Women (some of them) can be quite sensitive to which looks better.

For both brands, there will be customers who have voted for them with their wallet and believed that they got a great deal. So you cannot be wrong either way. smile.gif

I myself own the LG 42LD460. This model is really value for money ~RM2.3K), 42" with built in media player (Play lots of video files icl .MKV, .M2TS but sorry cant decode DTS sound sad.gif ).
Toshiba 42ZV600E got very nice review too but the price wont b tat cheap.
For me, I juz get the cheaper one 1st and save for future upgrade (price dropping very fast wif more new feature introduce)
The most important thing.. TRUST YOUR EYES BUT WATCH YOUR POCKET smile.gif

i'm also the owner for LG42LD460..
LG is best bang of bucks but if u have extra money to fork on TV then go for the toshiba.. the black in LG is not really black. i believe toshiba did better job at this.. but other than that... 200Hz scanning is the best point for toshiba...
but frankly speaking while everything move too smoothly i feel weird when watching movies.. i feels like is not movie feeling.. a bit fake for me that's why i still prefer the standard Hz..
