nais ! but im too scared u all good at clocking !
anyway, can i just come to watch n learn ?
*
u shd join la... i hope u all can discover more in overclocking... seriously i find doin prime for 12 hrs or so doesnt really mean anything... i mean i used to do that and then later on i found that its kinda waste of time... u stress test ur high end pc more than u use it man...

haha i wanna join but i suck at it .
*
just do it... gain some experience... everything also got first time one =)

when i prime that time...it was 4 - 5 yrs back.... b4 i push all the hardwares can do and prime stable... i m already changing the hardwares lol.... thats why i stopped it and jumped to another area of overclocking....

for me pushing to the limit and finish off the benchmarks is more thrilling than getting it prime stable coz it takes long time... =)

those without experience in OCing intel's new line can join ka?
*
why not ler??? anyone can join as long as u have the base on how to OC... it just that u will have some disadvantage than the ppl who have experience on it as u need to try it out during the contest... well here is a good link for u to do some reading...

http://www.overclockers.com/3-step-guide-o...-core-i3-i5-i7/

its a very good guide =)

But I dont play i5 leh.. No experience hehe
Ehh im pretty free on weekends jz tat transportation fee is huhu... Well i always take bus to KL
*
well if u made that effort to come i think u shd join since u come all the way from pg... if u win at least u get something back... better ROI than just looking and them OC-ing... i5 and i7 is pretty much the same... the different is not as great as a c2d... the settings are almost the same just that it uses dual channels... its just an casual contest so... go there and fire the system up and oc and bench thats all... fail retry new settings... its just superpi1m and maxxmem.... it should not take u more than 5 minutes from bootting up to windows and run the benchmarks =)

haha yea it does sounds easy but need to do more research as well .
heard the p55 need lesser VTT
*
there ya go... u know about this also... i dont even know... well... for competition.... no one care how low voltage u achieve certain speed.... all we care is how high performance can u get... voltages is kinda out of the picture... as long as cooling is sufficient... hence we used extreme cooling for it...

added u in bro, thx for joining =)

QUOTE(monsh @ Jul 16 2010, 02:14 PM)
oh okay since ur talking about the cooling system, what sort of cooling will be used ?

if we're talking bout LN2 or subzero cooling then im out for sure .
its definitely not my field already .
*
no la bro... air cooling... for starter i dont hope u guys to jump straight to extreme cooling yet... just take it step by step... will try to organise more competitions or event then later we will proceed from there... well for this time around, it shdnt be stock cooler, i hope... some third party cooler or u guys prefer to bring own cooling solutions??? say limited to air cooling =)

huargh ~ ada OS tweak pulak .
haih i'll stay behind the curtain laa like this .
*
well u will nv learn if u dont join... for benchmarks there is a lot of tweak which priming doesnt require... in competition, its about BIOS familiarity and how to tweak the system to get better results...
